Yes, PB is reporting 15cms today - but that was at 2:30pm! It still looked to be snowing right up until the cams turn off at 4:30pm...

Anyone know how much actually fell?

I was at Perisher. Had to leave at lunch-time, but there would have been 10cm on the carpark (which had been freshly cleared when I arrived at 8am). There was a wind-drift behind my rear wheel that was big enough to stand my snowboard up in! There was much more up high. In areas like Brumby t bar where it was being wind loaded there would be 40cm, on average it looked like around 20cm fell from yesterday afternoon till I left at lunch time today.

I was at PB all last week when we ahd the snow on teusday and wednesday they repoted only 25cm but there would ahve easoly been 40cm on the roof at Mid station.. Do they take the measurements at the bottom of the hill? I dont imagine it could be a wind drift of snow on a slant roof such as this..... Cracked me up on the thursday i saw a snowboader standing on the verandah of mid Station get slammed buy about 2 cubic metres of snow as it fell off the roof Nearly knocked him off his feet..... i nearly fell over laughing

P & S, sometimes they have the lift turning so everything does not freeze up when it's snowing. I have noticed the same thing in the past.

heavenly valley not working yet most of that area is closed with only slalom gully open to complete the village loop. clicky here
and still only a few lifts open, i'd say we;d be lucky to see any more before the weekend, which does suck cause im up there from sunday for a week. (also sucks for anyone else up there too!

clicky for lift status.

another 20cm's this week MAY see those areas open up a bit. enough to get at least the heavenly chair open

I wondered if you boys would notice that. :p

Well.... I had already been down for 2 weeks and done some telemarking (and put gouges on the bases of my nice new skis

), then a friend wanted to go for a weekend and she was keen to learn to snowboard. I knew that the best cover was on the boring beginner runs, so rather than hang about on skis, I took the opportunity to learn to snowboard. On day 2 I could link turns down Zalis - I reckon snowboarding is much easier to learn than skiing!
