14cm fresh today and looking great for snowmaking tonight/tomorrow.

We will be opening Koflers to return tomorrow, and Howqua and Bull Run chairs by Friday.

    Where's that cheers smiley gone?

Snow depths depending, the Bull Run chair should open up Standard, Women's Downhill, Sun Valley, Hogg's Back, Funnel, Plug Hole, Wood Run and Fall Line. The Howqua and Koflers chairs will open up Boomerang, Chute, Howqua, Family Run and Cross cut.

Whats happening on the North side of Mt Buller? Snowmaking? Emirates and Burnt hut must be getting close to opening?

aAs of Sunday, there was almost nothing on the northern side, not even a base in most areas. However, with the recent snow, I imagine it would not be too far off opening.

I think you will find at this stage that only standard will open which you need Bull run chair to get back up! Thats what im thinking anyways.

Fluffy and CJ2000 are spot on.

Northside was pretty much bare on friday, and the black runs off Bull Run will need quite a bit more snow than we have now. Fingers crossed by the end of the week though!

Good stuff, although thought there was potential for more overnight.

I'm guessing this means Standard, Howqua and Family Run, plus maybe parts of the Boomerang area to Koflers.

    Looking great for June.

P.s. I'm sure Bourke Street is marked all the way to the top of BB2 on the trail maps!

No idea. There's other stuff too - I don't know one person who refers to McLaughlin's Shoulder as 'Ridge Run', and as a further inconsistency it's listed as McLaughlin's on this page:

    http://ski.com.au/reports/australia/vic/buller/index.html

One year someone decided to swap Fast One and Slalom Gully as well.

    Very interesting...

The trail map has it in the right place, but the trail map in the resort guide has Bourke St alongside BB2. I'm guessing someone at our graphic designers decided that it couldn't fit next to BB1 and thought they would move it up as it is a continuous green line.

Yeah I know CarveMan. Plus it's missing a few named runs like Wattle Wiggle. And who rides Hogg's Back? It's just Sun Valley to me.

What's that? You noticed that Canyons aren't marked on the map? Sorry, I'll fix that ASAP. Maybe put in a few signposts as well.

Any idea if mroe runs 'similar' to Standard that may open up? Such as Chamois (top half), whiskey Creek Trail?

Is Men's Downhill a possibility? I love that rune so much. Short groomed steep run!

Next Wednesday looks like it will be my next trip. Fingers are itching to get back to snow.

Try Standard. There is not enough snow for anything else in the bull run bowl to open. Maybe Wood run if we get a bit more.

Dave C, is either asleep or watching jerry springer. Thats what unemployement does to you.

Generally, if they are snowmaking in one area they will be doing it in all other areas (weather permitting). With the conditions as they are, and a little bit of a base already building up they are pelting it out everywhere.

I don't think it would be fully open, just might have to dodge some rocky outcrops, but I am pretty sure it could be skiable, but might not be open due to the rocks!

Even if it closed, I might give it a slip, and ride down it (or not)! [IMG]

    haha, sorry...

I am not certain which specific runs will open. Apart from the obvious ones (standard, family, howqua), ski patrol will make the call tomorrow arvo when they assess the cover.

Just got a grooming report. Men's Downhill has been groomed tonight, as well as Howqua, Chute and Boomerang. Looks like they might have been poking around a few other areas too... [IMG]

Family Run snow-gauge is reading 63cm, which is great news. You can get the bulk of the South Side open with 1m on this gauge. I tend to ignore the others.

Well there's not much point in chucking it in the report if no-one knows where to find it! (Where's the :joking: emoticon?)

I'm guessing it's the bowl between Family Run and Wombat. Right? I'd like to know before I head up tomorrow. Yep, tomorrow. Can't wait for those all day freshies !

That is the Wombat Bowl. The only "fish bowl" terrain that looks like a fish bowl that is open would possible be Between Family Run and Howqua Lift.

EDIT: Dave already answered where Fishbowl alley is, so there you....I was wrong! [IMG]

    Actually he is probably working.

FBA drops down behind Fawlty. Fawlty is the big cream coloured building on the other side of Bourke St to the Arlberg. You need to go right around the back of it and then at the end of the building is FBA. It drops down towards Breathtaker, then you can turn left through the trees onto Bourke St or right and keep going to the unofficial terrain park over Standard Lane between the lodges, then onto Standard.

Was up there yesterday and skied Standard, LBS, Wombat and Summit/Howqua mostly. Perfect day, blue skies, fresh dry snow, complete cover. Doesn't get any better for Buller in late June. One more fall away from having some of the North side open, shakey knees, Emirates etc. The snow that is there has fallen down low so is very even from top to bottom.

    Get up there.
