Looks like it has become a bit more active again.
Unless its really huge I can't see it affecting our winter this year, IMO.
Even if it blew tomorrow it wouldn't produce enough effect for months afterwards. The reason being that any upper winds blowing the volcanic dust in our direction would immediately be deflected to the east by coriolis forces. Therefore the dust would have to circumnavigate the world before influencing us and it would have to mix thoroughly throughout the upper atmosphere to reduce the incoming solar radiation and thus reduces temperatures at the surface.
Ohhhh....maybe 2007 season then.... ......
