Any info and opinions on memberships for Buller lodges. Bulk of use will be for 40's woman around 25 days by self and around 10 days as couple, winter only and dont need to be there over school holidays. Occasional early 20's kids but not neccessary to take them into account.
Want a lodge that is social but not party central at 3 am, is not overrun with kids or teenagers running riot, has storage for ski's over season, enough heating to be comfortable, and doesnt require lots of work days as already have a large farm to take care of.
Also need to know how much in contributions over next say 10 years for upgrades etc.
    All thoughts appreciated.

    Try Schuss - http://www.schuss.asn.au/index.html
Generally meets your requirements except the ski storage over the season. But also has no annual fees or work days.
PM if you want more details.

Have a look if M Ski have any memberships for sale. They pretty much cover what you require, including ski storage.

We are a private lodge at the end of Goal Post Rd (next to Duck Inn). Membership is a little different from some of the others as you don't have to buy a membership off somebody else and you don't have any equity in the lodge. As a smaller less well known lodge that is careful about who we let stay, we normally don't have any of the 3am party problems. Lodge availability is normally good outside of weekends in August and School hols. My skis and my kids snowboards live on the racks in there all year round and with membership you also get a locker where you can leave your personal stuff at the lodge year round.

www.opalskiclub.org.au for more info, John Bridges is the current President, he is a farmer from the King Valley so would empathise with your situation. Happy to provide any additional info or put you in touch with John.
