Will pop in and say G’day to him next year. Maybe he’s up for a few day trips to the Dolomites with me.

Have a look at the Aosta Valley, Italy. We stayed for a few week and La Thuile, with access over into France and an easy bus ride down to Courmayer, then flipped over to the other side of the vally to Cervinia with access over into Zermatt. Great holiday with all resorts very different and enoungh at each resort to stop us from getting bored. La Thuile was very resonable price wise and we ended up in a chalet with plenty of bedrooms and a 10 meter walk to ski in/out. Cervinia on the other hand we stayed in a modern 2 room apartrment with matterhorn views and a 100 meter walk to lifts each morning and a bar crawl back each night. lift tickets cheap at La Thuile, and buggar all people....never saw a lift queue
