Why you start thread?
It's only January May.
My favourite ramen are the tonkotsu based ones, without soy. Tonkotsu is the creamy pork bone based ramen, rich and delicious!!!
Cause i wanted to post that.

Coming! Just booking flights with multi airlines on multiple reward programmes, what could possibly go wrong, lol!

The bun is made out of noodles.
I am quite partial to a Royal Host Hamburger steak.
Looking at doing Yuzawa in Feb 2017, just in the planning stage still
Have booked leave from work.

Doing one night in Tokyo on the way in.
Late flight out.
Will leave it till Feb (some time after CNY) when conditions look good. Just book and go.
Solo trip this time.
Looked at tix.

Hoping to be a part of the action for most of January 2017, but we'll see how things go. If so we're looking at Shiga and maybe Naeba.
I would like that work, which give so much time off!
Donza san, do you usually book direct with ana or via flight search engine?
Anyone heard any further rumours on the rumour that ANA may start direct Perth/Tokyo flights later this year?
That would be great if that happens.
I've never booked ANA before, that was looking at sky scanner.
I usually book with the airline
I'm in , paid full fare airnz January 8 to February 15. Eight months to sort out the rest. Possibly go for longer. Still early days.

Waiting on tickets to come on special
you might be waiting awhile on 18th December... thats never on sale.
Neither is Boxing Day...
why not go later?
imagine how happy your family would be...............
Best to get them sooner than later then?
maybe a two tiered purchase.?
buy the flight there and wait for specials for the flight home?
Yeah - peak school holiday flights - book now. Don't wait.
Flights booked. Jan 9 to 26. Was able to get FF tickets on Jetstar - have not flown international with them before - am not expecting it to be a particularly pleasant experience but the price was right. Now just have to sort out the ground component.
Be careful when you do organise your ground transport from the airport. 3 times out of the last 4 ive been delayed by more than an hour with J*
Jet* suck when flying international.... never had a good experience with them flying to Japan.
Thats why I fly ANA/JAL or Singapore these days
They do suck. But they are direct so my choice is either them or Qantas. (Qantas ftw).
Singapore layover is only 1.5 hrs tops...
With a munchkin in tow these days, I'd rather go direct from Sydney.....
In Melb its either J* or JAL if you want to go direct. Thats it. and JAL are usually 4 times more expensive. Bit of a monopoly happening here, if someone (cough Virgin) would come and undercut JAL but offer a better, full service flight than J* they would make a killing.
2 hour layover from Brisbane, but still over 16 hours total trip.
As against 9 hours.
No choice from Perth...
Bloody Perth! I've gotta do a layover each way to get to flipping Canberra this week! Argh!
I flew Jetstar from Gold Coast to Narita yesterday, and it was ok. From what I can tell, if it's a 787 Dreamliner, the baggage comes out super quick. We were at the gate by 6:30pm, and I was on the Airport limo bus by 7:05pm.
I flew Qantas from Sydney to Haneda last October in an old 747 and the baggage took almost an hour.
With other aircraft into Haneda, I've been as quick as 25 min, from gate to out of the terminal with checked bags.
