They are reading the lift status board at Perisher , trying to work out which ones are not on wind hold.

Where did you find that cam feed? Seems the links on both ski.com.au and Stirling's page don't click to the latest pic.

Winds swinging to the SW now here in Melbourne.
Might get out of the rainshadow of the Otways etc for Lake Mountain.

Well we have until midnight to keep the record

the plane is an A320 , I have my suspicions it in Queenstown or Christchurch though?

Yes, but that is a minimum. We're talking about the maximum temperature for a 24 hour period.

The original post is referring to the lowest maximum temperature.
That recording at Charlotte back in 94 was obviously a minimum

Anyway, I went out for a walk at 11. Sunshine was nice, wind was brisk. Temps were quite icy.

Sun is still out as I look out of the office.

Have had a couple of heavy showers make their way across. Wind is still blustery here in Brighton.

And I'm envious I'm not on a hill somewhere enjoying the fresh.

I remember that night well skidood on a pub crawl starting at Guthega Pub and all the bars in Perisher then hit Charlottes and back to Guthega at 3am was minus 18 in Guthega that morning from memory. And got fined for taking our skidoos up there the guy that managed Coroberee Lodge dobed us in.

Sun out and blue sky at Thredbo observed from Bistro over the top of a frothy Kosi Pale Ale. Lots of windblown I think being blown off the main range into the valley. And legs are shot.....

Yeh watching the temps change over the afternoon gives the impression that gradual warming as the coldest air moves into the Tasman will win out over night time cooling meaning no record will happen.

Didn't see staff rushing to sort the Maple Leaf out. Big drifts to battle on the deck.

Image search shows this is a US Airways plane in Virginia in 2015. Definitely not Hobart!

Still snowing and/or blowing at Perisher Valley when we left at 4pm. Lots of snowmaking during the day too.

Calm and clear at East Jindabyne now. Roads clear too, in stark contrast to this morning!
