I just drove through said blob. Its nukage potential. Much heavier than it looked on the radar.

Mt Eliza is losing its suitable old growth local species unfortunately.
This was a 5 acre property on the hill a few years ago. Few remaining trees from subdivision.
Used to be a bush suburb.

perhaps we need large coke bottle also to deal with accumulated snow...

we do expect coke to do the right thing and donate to sugar glider house rebuilding plan for their free advertising or we could seek talks with rival Pepsi...

But a westerly is not good for Buller. At maybe 9 degrees at Mansfield, such a strong wind will rise 1000-1400m in less than 10min, not usually allowing the air to cool sufficiently to snow even at -3.8 degrees. Let's hope the wind is more to the NW or SW, which changes that situation.

    Horsham 5.3c at 1pm. With 90 km/h winds. Impressive.

And about 200km due East it's still sitting on 10c.

The meat and potatoes are really over, and to the West, of Mt Gambier at the moment as seen on the Himawari zoom.
Some very solid condensed bands in here. I think we'll really see this flare up over the alps between 5-10pm.

Could be a little snow sleet mix at Gisborne as Trentham is down to 2.7 at 700mm ASL, but the fun is still to come IMO.
