Looks like ~15cm on the Cedarwood table since they cleared it last night. So 20-25cm Monday night-yesterday, another 15cm overnight. ~35-40cm for Falls. That'll be just about it for Falls/Hotham now the SW'ly is fully set in.

Totally, but Perisher used to be warmed for precip observations no? Seems to be broken this year.

Yes, the perisher guage is definitely different this year. Used to be extremely reliable when snowing. A couple of days ago it showed 3mm of precip when it was blue skies and sunny as well. Something wrong.

This will make the tube option 1 this morning for Perisher visitors. Chains from Sawpit Creek to Perisher generally means long delays!! Plus ice from the Thredbo river!!! Expect accidents. Unfortunately they always happen when it's like this.

Also means the crowds are delayed.

More freshies for the Tube users today :skier::thumbs:

Thanks mate! Will try to post some photos.
Out at the dam wall. Mate has a place in a lovely little spot. Fire is roaring this morning. Time to go take a look up the hill!

+1.1 deg at LM and rising.
Hasn't been below 0 all night. A bit of whitish wet slop on the ground, but that is all. Car park has no white on it.
    What a shit year :(

Still not overly cold though. Be interesting to see how much Buller/Stirling get today, looks to be swinging S pretty quickly, the old Tassie rain shadow might come into play.

No, the reporting is a joke. How hard is it to have a measurement system that doesn't rely solely on a dodgy AWS.....oh, and looking at other resorts reports. A 100% change in 20 minutes IS a joke.

I think Perisher have been reasonably conservative this year in reporting snowfall increments (not that there's been much to report, so when it does snow It's Time for The Marketing People to Get Excited!)

They haven't even declared it a chain day (although there is a conflict of interest there, in that the resort runs the only ski hire on the mountain)

Right now it's perfect. Everything that's hitting the SW resorts (Buller, BB and LM) is in the firing line. The Otways and King Island are triggering disturbances and more/heavier showers. If it goes too much further south it'll be out of alignment.
