Set in now, trying to puke
I observed a very angry looking black sky driving back to Melb from Buller today. Hit Yarra Glen about 1.30pm to a couple of big lightening bolts and then absolutely torrential rain through Coldstream. Wouldn't be surprised if that particular cell dumped a bit of snow higher up around the YV. Was fast and furious!
Any obs from Hotham?
I observe out of my south facing window in Albury large mass of cold black clouds heading towards Hotham & Falls
Bullet village cam = nukesville
NSW about to cop it
Looking very nice on the Cedarwood cam at Falls. Snow in the trees and on the bikes
Very cold looking clouds west of the blueys
Yarrawonga radar looks a real treat for NSW resorts. Some nice heavy cells coming through Tocumwal.
Yeah its thick and due west... will pummel NSW and Hotham IMO
Radar progression showing it's heading due east. Perisher will get whacked
And temps? Below 10C in Albury right now. Wangaratta is 5.7C. The big 3 Vic resorts are all hovering around -4C. Tasty
-4 when we left perisher at about 4pm, 0 at wilsons valley and 3 with light flakes on and off in jindy
Rock garden gone.
Just phoned the clan at Hotham...its very cold, have received fresh snow today (a few inches ?) but looking threatening now.
Will update after the big blob goes through.
Its hard to get a detailed report from them !
Hey Donza what do you think about the wind for tomorrow today was like getting a hard core sand blast on the old face ????
Wind will ease and go south ..imo
Women would pay $100's for that from their plastic surgeon in Toorak.
Snowing most of the afternoon at Hotham. Ferocious winds made it very hard getting off the Heavenly Valley chair this afternoon. The fresh that fell last night was very soft, great to ski on, and made my progression to Black Cruiser quite easy today!
Snow seems to have eased off a bit now but will update when it starts again.
Looks just as bad tomorrow but more SSW
Yarrawonga radar looks crazy
Absolutely gusting ATM at perisher , heap of wind blown with a few flakes !
if it keeps on that trajectory expect quite a jump in the recorded depths at Deep Creek and Three Mile Dam next week. Selwyn's report tomorrow am will make for interesting reading.
Looks like the solid band of rain now over Albury may miss the mountains.
Snowing lightly in bobo village, about 2 cents in last hour. Radar looks bloody promising, heading straight for us. Guns blazing like nobodies bizzness.
Snowing heavily at parent's place. 780m asl NE Victoria. Few cm has now stuck and building.
30mm of goodness at PV. About 17-18cm imo.
Unfortunately I'm with cookieman .I think it's gonna miss .hope I'm wrong . A bit more to add to the lovely snow that has fallen thus far would be nice
Sucking and turning NE, imo.
Come to Daddy.
Seriously chucking down in thredders village now, been like this for 45mins, possibly 2cents, heading outside now for a dart to take some graphics.
Confirm that, snowing heavily and settling in Thredders
Looking at the Perisher Front Valley it's snow very heavily . (Not sure how to link the photo in here?)
Looking like selwyn will do very well in this next front, according to the radar
Not much at Buller ATM thought looking at the radar it shan't be long.
Cold though, sprinklers are running furiously.
temp hovering around 0.2C
Cold In bris
Could get 40cm tonight imo
Mt Ginini will be doing well also
Stay on topic.
That's the picture I was trying to load! Looks awesome!
Winds dropped and 3deg in Bombala, stars are out. Still waiting for moisture
Raining heavenly now in jan juc. Hope it makes the hills
Hearing reports it's snowing (sleeting) in Geelong ?
Oops cold drizzle in Jindy
6.3C, it's not going to be snowing.
Probably icy hail again or gaupnel.
At 5.5 degree
Hey Astro, i think you have been very close to the mark with these tables; however at these colder temps i'm thinking maybe 25 cm or so per 30mm??
