I observe, with a yawn, that it is currently 2/8ths cloud in Adelaide, no wind, t-shirt....... hopefully something exciting happens before morning.
I hope so..... It doesn't feel like it at all yet and i'd predicted it here by about dinner..... Not even any precipitation of note across Eyre peninsula yet......
Hold on to your hats children, winter is coming. Bluff Knoll, Stirlings, WA, this morning: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-07-02/locals-and-tourists-enjoy-bluff-knoll-snow/8671408
-2deg in bega this morning when i called in to work. Came in tonight at 6pm it was +5deg now sitting on +1. I think we might get below -2 in the morning.
A very frosty 1.8 degrees here in NW tassie but it is much warmer further west, might be the first front approaching
Mid Perisher centre have posted a video of what looks very much like white fluffy stuff falling this morning.
I observe it was cold (-4C) on the ride into work today with lovely grey skies overhead (Canberra ACT).
Heavy rain in mildura and 10deg at the moment, tis nice to see something dropping from the sky. I find from past observations systems coming across when it rains and its below 14 deg its generally snow when it hits the alps
Very foggy at Smiggins at the moment. Dont know why but it just doesn't feel like anything is going to happen.
I observe that there was some freezing rain in Perisher for about 5 minutes, now fog and intermittent drizzle. Not burning a lift ticket today chilling at brunellis while kids are in their prepaid jobbies.
The low is spinning clockwise in the Bite, well below Adelaide. It's pulling in that moisture from the north. So things will stay damp for a while yet. But it's all as expected so far.
Weird observations on the drive to work....very heavy frost and ice on puddles in the normal low lying spots, but the temp had already risen to about 7deg.
One thing worth pointing out is the really warm water off Sydney. Like 20 degrees. This is how it looks with 4 degree morning chill.
