Cracker weather in Burn City today, shame I had to work but nice high level stuff on walk from G to my rig. IMO...

Felt and smelt like late Apri/early May, no breeze, seriously Autumnal. Here's hoping we have a late & LONG winter.

Typical June colder frontal pattern setting up after the Pineapple Express IMO.

I think this weather is more typical of the stuff I see in May, cold mornings and windless days, with temps diving as soon as the sun goes down but not much happening weather-wise. It makes for good sunsets though. I havent had a frost at my place this season yet, which is unusual.

    CBR v cold last night.

Today: SYD real chill in the air (even after a weekend in the snowys) and some thick cloud covering the eastern suburbs.

Looks like a bit of a convective rainband/front coming down from the North on the Yarrawonga radar.

Watching the radar overnight, I observe that the NSW resorts appear to have had some light showers but the Vic resorts have been in the direct line of Farmergeddon. I expect Hotham and Buller especially will have a distinctly munty vibe this morning

Tough night on the slopes. Pretty much the way most people predicted this would turn out, in fact probably a bit warmer than most people thought. I have to admit about 7pm last night when it started to rain at my place I stepped outside and the air wasnt cold enough to me for snow, nowhere near it. I know that's just a feeling based on ground-level obs ~300km from the skifields and there are so many factors that could prove me wrong, but the 'vibe' wasnt there.

steadt inch and a half this morning in Dubbo. Good for longevity of snow cover when it arrives as there will be less dust later in the season.

    :puke:A bit of rain.

I observe that BOM Access R was not as good as ACCESS G (GFS) which was more on the money

The observations suggest it will clear as the cooler air arrives.

Did GFS model fluke it or have the model input parameters improved.

    I wonder???

Let's hope it stays there & on the coast. Not excited by increased accumulated precipitation totals on GFS. A long shot will be if the moisture that will arrive over the resorts only arrives when temps have dropped considerably.

I observe that this is not the first time we have had an averse weather condition. Neither will it be the last. But soon it will be forgotten as we experience more joyful weather events. Twas ever thus, and ever thus it shall be. That is the nature of our seasons.

Dont stress, By Saturday week you will have totally forgotten.

Obs - Went for a job at lunch time around the park in Moorabbin. Its mild and dead still, beautiful jogging conditions
