For media to jump on, it has to be something PG and anything that relates back to a specific member isn't likely to gain much traction. Maybe a convention around superlatives and monster combinations is in order.

I don't agree just that you now name it based on the event , eg heavy snow , zilla nado etc , disappointment in delivery eg. Turnbull's front, EC's folly etc
Btw CC why don't you finalize name as soon as we hit the 4 day threshold

#shirtFront. I like it because if the front turns out to be a dud, you can just remove the first r and it still works.

from Greek mythology....the personification of evil...

Bears same that Ubi is tempting fate by even suggesting such a name for a frontal system....

the type of system that will reek havoc on approach roads to all resorts...the type of frontal system that will cause the Main Range Warriors to wet themselves after seven consecutive days of horizontal snow...:clap::clap:

the type of system that will have the Vic Rds Crew at Blowhard locked up playing cards in the tea room that is shaking for nights on end with machines unable to get out of the compound ...

best not mention Son of Moira.....

That'd be ideal for a front that is too full of hot air and moisture.

Just saying it's really not that late btw.
Maybe in another 4 weeks we'll be sweating a tad.
Few of the recent past haven't flicked the switch till mid- late July.

Missed the boat on this particular comment, but "The Opener" gave me the idea that we could have tied up all the fronts with a cricket theme for the season. We could still do it in a generic batting position fashion, but it would have been nice to call this one "The Hayden", and then follow up later with "The Boonie", "The Waugh", "The Bradman", "The Gilly", "The Warnie" and "the McGrath".

Yes , and if we got an awesome big front on say September 20th we could have named it " The Bevan" eg a big finisher
For a massive front that looks awesome around Perth but is full of weather botox and slides south , "The warnie"
For a front that is slow to start , but keeps on delivering " The Hayden"

The "Muralitharan" the front with massive uplift that results in it absolutely chucking snow down
