Easily 40cm+ around little mt feathertop. Wind is consistent but not very strong. I'm surfing on my norwalks. Very worth the effort bringing them up!

Baw Baw can't catch a break, struggles to get punters due to poor snow and then has the snow and can't get them on the mountain.

Solid soaking rain here in Oakleigh, our backyard is under an inch of water.

I observe epic conditions at Perisher, as good as it gets really.
I observe light snow all morning and getting heavier over the last hour or so, especially at North P.
I also observe deep, fresh snow.
Easily knee deep freshies off North P T bar / Interceptor.

Haha foursquare must have been lapping with ya! Easily 40cm+ in the trees and more in drifts around interceptor trees! I can't remember perisher being this good in recent times.

Talk about a moist southwest airflow, waves still streaming northeast thru Melbourne, embedded trough behind it 1000km or so SW of tassie. Rip it up for me all those out there, stoked for everyone!!!!!

I feel artic snow blast at Eagles Nest, Thredbo. Wind has picked up from SW this arvo, prolly 35 knots+. Still snowing, but hard to discern fresh falling from wind blown. Either way, it's still accumulating on lower slopes.

I observe much fun-ness being had in Perisher today. As good as it gets. International, Eyre, North P, Discovery trails. Lovely fresh, if somewhat heavy in parts. I will remember this day, the first day of my season, for many years to come

Yep. I observe FF only looks good with man made and some finesse with the grooming (which Thredbo are pretty good at). Mind you, if Friday Flat looks good you know the rest of the mountain must be sensational.

From CP Twitter feed just now:
@charlottepass: We have had an epic day on the mountain with 75cm overnight and snow-falls continuously throughout the day, it... http://t.co/72mfVovpeh

Depth at Spencer's has gotta be pushing up towards 2m now, not bad for end of June

So many figures being confused and mixed up. So much wind and drifting.... it snowed..a bunch. But nothing like those figures imo. Leeward hills are collecting alot of drift.

Tomorrow is the day to ski BawBaw.
Stashes in the trees and Groomed runs for those thst like the groomers.

Road opened again early evening but too late to leave by the time we dug out our cars. And pretty treacherous driving down thst snow covered hill in the dark.
Reports are snow to Tanjil Bren :)

There was a question about Lake Mountain... my son and I were there from 2-5 p.m. today. Snowed almost the whole time, sometimes quite heavily., traces of snow at the turnoff from the Marysville/Warburton Road. Excellent cover around the resort. A few grassy holes in the second sled run, but those just showed how deep the snow was everywhere else, which was to say, quite deep for LM. Was snowing when we left and we passed through quite a few heavy bands of showers on the way back to Melbourne. I'd guess could be another 10 cm in the bands I saw, (allowing for the fact that snow seems to accumulate better after dark).

This. I am sitting on my couch with someone who was until recently marketing manager of one of the resorts - we are having the same conversation.

Yes it snowed, yes it was good, but fark me the hype has been hysterical. IMO it was nowhere near as big a snowfall as late August 2010 - all this 50 year storm stuff is totally overblown.

We had a decent snowfall and I am very grateful that most resorts are going to be well and truly operational for the school holidays, and would love to see more.
