Snow was settling on the Alpine Way as I drove out of Thredbo this evening
Some serious accumulation on Sou-Perisher Cam. 2mm in the can and a lot on the way (radar)...
absolutely nuking down at Buller. Mrs LTB just sent me s short vid - snowing sideways and they are limiting travel down the hill from the village at the Clocktower.
Buller should do very well out of this system with the SW trail
LIKE^2 (Meant to be squared )
Looked very blizzard like before but has since refreshed
Buller VS cam says it all - caked in snow, can't see anything!
100% agree with that, they should be looking at >10cms and maybe 20 by the morning.
There are embedded thunderstorms in the SW rainband.
still snowing heavily at hotham and dp.
accumulation at dp around the 10cm.
will be fantastic skiing tomorrow morning.
the eskymeter on our verandah accumulating nicely aided by a little wind blown.
have just sent a text to jnr jnr LTB to see if he will venture to and wipe for us
Absolutely puking at falls per cedarwood cam
The snow on the rail was there, they have had 3cm by gauge
Snow in Jindy 10 minutes ago
Thanks in advance to jnr jnr LTB.
mrs LTB has wiped the cam - waiting next update
Thanks mrs LTB!
and we are BACK baby! I'll give her a little special thank you something over the weekend....... (if she'll let me )
As always LTB, you come through with the goods my man! Mrs & junior LTB deserve a round of hot chocolates for that effort! Love the pics and footage you always deliver from different vantage points, lapped up like pigs with truffles! I recall a few years back you posted some footage of an epic buller system that left us speechless, filled in the VS rock garden from memory. Hats off LTB, cheers to you and your crew
The Buller storm was there, but.. NSW looks the goods tonight
at Buller we're just happy to be getting snow and not r@#n
Not liking the rapid temp rise in NSW, hoping it's just that last of the warmer air ahead of the main front.
Radar showing another decent band approaching Melbourne from the west with some decent rain
Temps in Albury have only risen slightly with the precip band and further west look to be dropping after that. 4.8mm in the gauge at Perisher so far and the main blob about to hit. Should be 10-15mm in that IMO so hopefully 25-30cm in this system for NSW. 40 lifts for the weekend so should be some great skiing.
I think the hook missed Baw Baw will see in the morning.
NOT my photo. Pulled from this article: http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/ne...&utm_source=DailyTelegraph&utm_medium=Twitter
Puking at Falls.
still puking at dp.
another 5cm in last 90 minutes
Decent amount in an hour
That Cedarwood table has collected about 10cm in 30 minutes! And it's still going.
Fark heavy stuff is now hitting NSW, radar looks excellent as well as totals rising to west and Perisher just jumped 1.2mm in 30 minutes. Puking!
40 minutes of pukage at Fallls - compare to the above photo
I observe how much I like no prefrontal rain with these systems.
Jindy + Now + Wind + Smashed (including some moisture)........hopefully fluffy on the hill!
Front valley cam going off!!
There's the 20cm, now for the cream...
Much juice left in this system?
And that is at village altitude, cabbage patch, summit & ruined will be nicely caked IMO
Radar suggest it eases up to snow showers as the heavy stuff now clears.
Thanks to the flat Sun I observe
Proper cool weather, radar nice
As the temps have risen 1 degree the snow has fallen. closing in on 10cm in PV with storm clouds approaching. Heavy rain below mountains to west.
That is mint
Am in Talbingo (near Mt Selwyn) and it is pouring! Fingers crossed it is doing that thing it needs to do up the hill!
Like I said;cream
it is 10 down,
Driving up to falls now and chains are being fitted. Accumalation about 10cm from the chain fitting bay.
Radar rotation looks tastey.
