absolutely nuking down at Buller. Mrs LTB just sent me s short vid - snowing sideways and they are limiting travel down the hill from the village at the Clocktower.
still snowing heavily at hotham and dp. accumulation at dp around the 10cm. will be fantastic skiing tomorrow morning. the eskymeter on our verandah accumulating nicely aided by a little wind blown.
and we are BACK baby! I'll give her a little special thank you something over the weekend....... (if she'll let me )
As always LTB, you come through with the goods my man! Mrs & junior LTB deserve a round of hot chocolates for that effort! Love the pics and footage you always deliver from different vantage points, lapped up like pigs with truffles! I recall a few years back you posted some footage of an epic buller system that left us speechless, filled in the VS rock garden from memory. Hats off LTB, cheers to you and your crew
Not liking the rapid temp rise in NSW, hoping it's just that last of the warmer air ahead of the main front.
Temps in Albury have only risen slightly with the precip band and further west look to be dropping after that. 4.8mm in the gauge at Perisher so far and the main blob about to hit. Should be 10-15mm in that IMO so hopefully 25-30cm in this system for NSW. 40 lifts for the weekend so should be some great skiing.
Second that NOT my photo. Pulled from this article: http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/ne...&utm_source=DailyTelegraph&utm_medium=Twitter
Fark heavy stuff is now hitting NSW, radar looks excellent as well as totals rising to west and Perisher just jumped 1.2mm in 30 minutes. Puking!
As the temps have risen 1 degree the snow has fallen. closing in on 10cm in PV with storm clouds approaching. Heavy rain below mountains to west.
Am in Talbingo (near Mt Selwyn) and it is pouring! Fingers crossed it is doing that thing it needs to do up the hill!
Driving up to falls now and chains are being fitted. Accumalation about 10cm from the chain fitting bay.
