15cm at Turnback creek 1155m
I took this picture last night at Venus Bay, south-east coast of Victoria:
Still a bit of snow to come the low is in a nice position IMO
Just went for a walk outside (Buller). I reckon around 15cm fresh - although hard to tell with windblown snow
Just left the truffle festival gala dinner in Canberra and it was chucking down freezing rain from a westerly direction.
Bit disappointed with this morning's readings. Hopefully squeeze a bit more out of this system.
My Ginini has 9.5mm in the gauge and sitting on -3.4C
Should make the view to Mt Gingera from Canberra look perdy.
All seems pretty bang on to me. Falls look to have got a good top up ~20-25cm IMO.
screenshot for comparison. Nice
Buller reporting only 1cm
The weather report on channel 7 sunrise is live from Buller this morning, they were saying 20cm
Yes, their report page just updated to 20cm
Seem more likely, Perisher have got 15cm in 24hrs posted
Edit: Wonder if they measure away from their snowmaking
Falls reporting 24cm
Are we thinking the vic resorts have done a little better out of this?
Snow level reasonably low in nsw, chains from waste point
Yep. And Buller even did well out of it
Maybe only 10cms on the deck here in Thredbo village.
There is always double that up on the hill.
Yes they have thought NSW would have got more but 15 cents is Ok
Yeah they're fair bit more transparent in this day and age so gotta shoot straight with the quantities.
I observe they go ape shit with the rest of the foam to make up for it .....
Hotham reporting 21cms
about 20cm here in dp.
snow showers still about.
pic of our eakymeter and homes nearby.
Sunrise at Perisher...
Models did well. As far as moisture went, they always had Vic resorts doing a little better out of this. It's just the way the moisture was tightly centred around the Low.
Buller did fine as it wasn't really westerly (atleast not for long). Main front delivered in NNW.
This was one of those cherry on top systems you want in the second half of August just when the base is at peak depth. Nice and cold and 20cms of good quality snow on top of a solid base, it's the perfect time to ski in Australia. Hopefully it's not the last one we'll see like this in 2016.
Driving to jenolan caves atm and it's snowing at Hampton but not settling
I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be than Hotham today.
Showery on the peninsula.
OK baw baw conditions but temps maybe not now.
I observe the photos from DP make me wish I was at Hotham now
Yep, like 7.30.
Oh well. Sunny here on the peninsula now.
I observe that I am nursing a hangover on a crisp morning in Sydney.
Why of why did we polish dinner off with a bottle of tawny?
Snowing at Oberon.
Because it was noice.
Thirsty work riding the chair to Perisher mid..
Nice day for a ride!
I observe it's early for a Guinness.
Guiness - The Breakfast Beer TM
Never too early for a Guinness

Oz at its best! Brilliant pics CC!!!! Phwoarrrr, so freakin jealous!
Looking towards Olympic at Perisher
Nice morning at Thredbo. 15 cents up top seems about right. Bit of cloud and a slight sw breeze. Coffee consumed, back into it.
hotham....fantastic conditions early this morning.
now clearing and bluebird.
conditions getting a little heavier as it warms up.
That is almost painful to watch. Good luck to anyone who's there
I observe that I am very jealous of people on the hill today - would be a very good day out there
Sunny in Melb, envy whilst stuck in the office observed amongst many.
