    my mother in law and brother in law and families live on the South Esk between longford and perth. Some pretty high water!!

    Cataract must be off the chart terrifying. Spilling by more than 4m over the Trevallyn Dam. The drainage of a significant part of Tass funnelling into those narrow dolerite 'gates'!!

    It was an incredible sight .The sheer volume of water moving is hard to imagine.. was lucky enough to get in there late tuesday arvo before they closed of the gorge track ..standing a few metres from it was a big adrenalin rush .
