This makes me drool
It did even as it was last season...
Mega drool. I skied bits of the lower part of the new area last year with some hiking and traversing and it was awesome. Going to be epic now it’s going to be avi cleared. KH is definitely one of my global favourites
one of the best.
not that many resorts where you can really scare the sh!t out of yourself with just a small traverse from the chair
Nice an all, but a lot of people were already hiking these routes already.
What they really need though is a new lift from the top of Pioneer ( or thereabouts) to the ridge beyond rudi's bowl.
( or thereabouts).
The good news is that they seem to have sorted the issue with Purcell heli-ski that had rights to the terrain in the middle there.
God forbid they build a lift over the backside, OMG that would make so much terrain accessible!
I can dream can't i
Kicking Horse is fabulous even without this extra stuff...OMG it is an amazing mountain.
I almost got divorced when on my first day at KH, first run of the day I definitely picked the wrong ridge and drop in for a warm-up.
Best hill in Canadia
Yep, very fine
Only stop on the NAmerican FWT
Due another Rv roadie ~
I’m heading there on 8th Feb for 8 nights and the countdown is killing me. 3rd visit in 3 years. Love the place more than any other mountain I’ve visited so far. Roll on Feb!
Agree with all who have posted so far - KH is one of the best mountains in Canada, especially if you like Advanced free riding terrain. It's like Fernie on steroids and is a bit colder with less chance of rain. Had one of my best powder days ever on a snowboard here, deep dry blower pow
Yeah Fernie on steroids! Good way to describe it
