Anyone have any experience? Any tips on where I might find some in Aus?

I've ummed and ahhed for months about whether to reglue my G3s (curse those things) and I'm siding with laziness.

Not keen on another pair of G3s. Maybe BDs but looking at other options too.

    Thanks!

Why wouldn't you go back to the G3's? I picked up a pair of Alpinists 2nd hand with my split and the fronts are starting to deglue, so i'll be thinking about this soon.

Might be a little tough to source them through Amplid.

Which skins did you get, out of interest?

How many koalas do you have to kill to get enough for skins? :out:

I keep misreading the thread title.

Yeah I'm in the same boat, they are lighter than the g3's no doubt but not quite as grippy. Some glue patches have been coming off a little quicker than I would have thought but easy to touch up.

Been using G3 skins for close on 20 years now and never had any issue with them.
Usually its how they are stored/treated that causes issues as it would with any brand, nothing to do with the quality of the product.

Doesn't seem to be an uncommon issue.

I don't expect the Qld factor helps, but I try to be pretty nice to mine.

    They are skins.

Thrash. Replace. My G3's are going good in their third season, lasting better than the Voiles I had previously. I spend a lot of time skinning across/through creeks, over dirt, rock, mud etc.
