Worked out the relationship between GI, blood glucose and where it's stored (liver, as fat or in the muscles). Not necessarily fully low GI, you just need to know what is it for most things you eat. THEN, make sure you store the glycogen in your muscles instead of as fat. Right type of exercise depletes the muscles of glycogen. e.g. Gonna eat some pizza? 5 min of the right exercise and you won't store the pizza base as fat. ### And plus I just tend to remember stuff..... like the price of the Yamaha Sax you bought in Tokyo, and which skis.....
ah...that's too funny. And how much WAS that sax? The skis I remember, cause they were such an awesome bargain.
@Sandy Really?? We spent that much on a sax? Her next one (that she bought herself) was way more expensive. I'm surprised we payed that much though. As for the K2, I recall $320. At Jan 2007 exchange rate of (approx) 85 yen....I'd say 28,800 is on the money.
Nothing you can't do in a Kei truck, as long as you don't want to travel at more than 12km/hr..............
Landed in Fukuoka this morning. First stop before the Shinkansen trip down to Kagoshima was a morning brekky mission to the nearest Family Mart. Found these pancakes, which are two piklets that have mass cream in between. A little sickly in the morning, probably not again. This one was a beauty. Some strawberry doughnut. Ooishi.
Yeah not sure about that one either.. Strawberry yes, cream yes - Mochi WITH Strawberry and Cream - not so much ...
You people are trying to turn me into your Konbini “Crash Test Mummy” Still trying to work my way through my New Years Mochi, no one here will eat it! I did pop into SeicoMart at midnight last night and emerge with a creme caramel, that hit the post Apres spot!
By the way, if you see "mochi" in the names of sweets / desserts, in many cases, they are actually Gyūhi, not mochi. I love the texture of Gyuhi. Even if you don't like mochi, you might like Gyuhi About Gyuhi. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyūhi
Strictly speaking, not combini chatter. BUT... http://www.smh.com.au/world/japanes...fish-portions-go-missing-20180116-h0jeno.html A package containing potentially deadly liver, top right, a purchaser took it to a health center in Nagoya, central Japan. Photo: AP
Yes. It's one of the cheapest Japanese confectioneries, but somehow I'm a bit addicted to it recently. I like the balance of the sweetness and sourness, and I like the texture too
Surprised to see Japan getting on the “craft” biru train. This one from Lawson, originating in Karuizawa, Nagano. Very nice tasting too!
Then perhaps you NEED to go to the Shiga Kogen Beer Festival(Snow Monkey Beer Live), usually around 16th-20th March. There's live bands(in a hall at Hasuike), around 15-20 craft beer brewery stalls, and 80+ different craft beers!!! Your one in the middle: It's a great event!!!!!
Familymart's "クリームボックス = Cream Box". It had been popular only in Fukushima, but somehow Familymart has recently started selling it nationwide.
Not sure about that one! haha My person favourite. Mainly the grape flavour, Japan has such great grape flavoured things, I cannot seem to find that here This one is a strip of mini packs with about 6 different flavours I always have these in my bag when snowboarding in Japan
Because they pour the sugar in there for you. Ever had grape Fanta in Japan vs. Aus? It isnt even close to the same thing. The Japanese must put double the amount of sugar in, and for a holiday where i'm exercising for 8+ hours a day, i'm OK with that.
