I went up to Lake Mountain on saturday for a roller ski up the road and took a few pictures on the summit walk. Never been to LM in summer, it is well worth the drive. Such a unique place especialy with all the burnt out trees and regrowth below. The Photos are in my Blog post here

Hey Nick, I was wondering how much you spend in getting there. I've been planning to ski also at Lake Mountain and I'm just particular of the cost. Could you share me some of your thoughts?

Mark, it's cheap. It's not much more than an hour out of Ringwood, so not much petrol. Parking in the summer is free. Winter parking is about $30-$40. No trail fees. If you need to hire skis, the cheapest is my shop at $30 for adults (boots, waxed skis, poles, top quality) per day. On the left hand side as you drive through Narbethong. Take a packed lunch with you if finances are tight.
