    Well I guess I know a lot about full size aerial ropeways and I did have plenty of Lego as a kid.
    But while I've seen plenty of fixed grip model chairlifts and gondolas made from Lego, Airfix type kits and even Meccano, the amount of work involved in designing and building a model detachable grip gondola is beyond belief. Then they go and make it even more impressive by having a mid station with a bend where the gondolas also detach from the haul rope.

    All that makes me think that the builders and designers of that setup are just showing off, but wow, if they can do that, they have every right to show off.
