Long story short, I’ve been messed about and let down for accomodation for a short trip this week, so now need something for two nights Wednesday and Thursday in Jindabyne . Booking sites are above my price range. Anyone know of anywhere that may be available or any tips?

    Thank you!

Backpacker bed at the caravan park near the Thredbo turnoff. Was $44/night 3 or 4 years ago IIRC.

Pretty much always sleep in my car at the Ski tube. It’s all good. I bought a cot mattress at K-mart for the back with the seats down. I’m short so I can even fully stretch out :)

Are you planning to ski at Thredbo or Perisher?
I know that some of the Lodges are starting to slow down in terms of bookings so a bed in a lodge might suit you.
I just had a look and Schuss Lodge at Thredbo has beds available on Wednesday and Thursday night. Lodges in Jindy or Perisher might be worth a look.

There is also some reasonable stuff available on booking sites.
    eg:
Sonnblick lodge 2 nights inc breakfast $347

If you dont mind sharing Dorm room at Snowy Mountains Jindy $98 for 2 nights.

    Hey experts,

Very much a NSW noob question, but do you think there's any chance of on-snow (must be on-snow) accom this Fri/Sat at Perisher Valley for under $200pp/pn?

The booking sites indicate no thus far (cheapest I could find was about $240)...

If you've not found anywhere else yet, try http://thecoachmanskilodge.com.au/book-now/ - in Smiggins, but has onsite car parking. Disclaimer: I have been a shareholder there for >25 years. Downside is our chef will have finished for the season; the buffet breakfasts are still excellent, and you could go over the road to Smiggins Pub for example for dinner.

Give the lodge a call; I don't know what the price will actually be from this week to the end of the season - likely rather less than the low-season price on that web page because of being bed-and-breakfast only now.
