pretty windy in the valley today

weatherzone says 28 kts gusting to 38. I don't expect to see much running in over 30 kts

Would not expect Scotts or Summit to be down though.

Wind hold. Although the winds were not super high or gusting today they were pretty 'funky'. SSE is not a typical prevailing wind at Falls and results in some significant drift variation to usual and also atypical lift impact. Work commitments on the snow prevented me getting to the Bowl lifts prior to them going on wind hold but the feedback that I got from very experienced Falls skiers was that the effect of the wind on the Summit Chair was significant.
