Not good if you get motion sickness or are bored easily...
Wow, towards the end of September and the lower drainage hasn't really opened up. Great cover -- excellent.
Looks good hopefully for another trip in a few weeks.
Not boring at all, thanx.
I feel nauseous thinking about the climb out....I take it there was no wind then...
Needed to orient myself with the vid. Thanks to our friend who runs ozbc.net
and a VSG crayola. Nearly 500m of vert in a very good year, looks like about 400 in the vid.
You got some Muzak on that that ,ight see it not avail on an iPad ?
Nice use of POV.
Good to see so much snow down there.
Long way down, nice
nice. that space down below there where on VSGs maps is 'little austria from lee' is one of those otherwordly feeling spaces, hence the name i guess. I never understood it til i stood under it.
Minor correction, but fully support your sentiment mr: that pic is from our good mate SnowBlowey, http://ozbc.net
His NSW Backcountry section includes this image, which I think picks up your "otherworldly" sentiment.....
Wow that is one long run. very nice!
Is this one of the longest backcountry runs? You would surely only be doing a couple of these a day at the most with that killer walk back out.
Siren Song and Watson's Creek on Northside of Crags can be long. The hike perhaps a tad easier.
It was getting late in the afternoon and I had come from the South so I started the run from Mt Lee. I quite enjoyed the long scenic traverse to the upper gully to where the vid starts.
Rounding the corner into the lower pitch at speed and seeing the good coverage was an absolute stoke.
I wouldn't count on it being skiable for much longer, There was a 50m traverse near the bottom that was very steep and slushy with nothing but a roaring torrent directly below (I edited that bit out of the vid, 'cos I was taking it really slow at that point)
Climbing back up Lady Northcotes was quite speccy too..
Kiting on Kos Sth ridge earlier on the same day...
way to get after it, kiting and LA in a day? nice!
@Snow Blowey . can I ask what happened to ozbc.net?
