As a family of four would we ever have to share a room with anyone?

No, the lodge has 6 rooms, each one with a private newly renovated en suite. We dont mix families together. I've been taking my family of 4 to the lodge for 10 years or so. Kids were little when we started, big kids now, we've never shared a room.

be worth taking a look at Merrijig Ski Club. There's usually a few memberships around as older members stop going up and kids have lost interest. We were members there for years until we bought our own place. Family rooms have a double bed and set of bunks so you wouldn't be sharing with anyone. They have a Lodge manager and FT chef there in winter. Nightly rates, which were very reasonable also include cooked breakfast and dinner, plus "nibbles" around 5.30. Not sure what memberships go for but contact details are on that page that @djam linked earlier. Cnr of Stirling Track and Chamois Rd so can be a bit of a slog if the bus is full or you miss it and you have little kids.....
