I wish they'd kept the image time/date up the top. I've always found it handy.

Geez they really are getting it together
That's a seriously good effort on the snowmaking too!

I think it's been done in a real hurry. Still some 'lorem ipsums' on the site. I spoke with the mountain yesterday, and they gave no indication that this might happen, although I did suggest it a week ago.
I imagine it will be fine-tuned over the next few days. I'll certainly be requesting that they put date-time on the cams if they don't appear within the next week or so.

Since Belgravia took over management, they've taken the snow making very seriously

Cam not being date stamped renders the image next to useless, could be last week, last season, who knows especially as in just a few hours in real time can turn that view back into grass at a low resort like LM, punters rightly pissed off then if they drive up and find mud.

The slug machine has been a good innovation for the resort, the new website also, but really they have had 9 months to get the cams working properly with the neccessary back up options/ tech support / training etc, etc

Been 9 days now that their two mains advertising portals have been dead, they are about to have quite possibly their best snowfalls next week and they cant properly advertise such conditions as it stands today.

If the cause is out of their control do as someone else suggested upload a static image take each morning, something, anything

Wonder if the stuck image had shown an image when there was no slug trail................................

That won't happen Hunter - the cams are updating regularly and showing the weather and conditions as I would expect them to be up there, given the weather at the bottom. Yes, in theory,. the pics could be of another date and time, but they're not. They're current.

As I understand it, the situation with the web cams was outside the control of the resort. They have now taken steps to remedy the situation. Clearly, they have more work to do on it, but already it's a vast improvement, because the webcams now update :) They apparently couldn't even load a static image over the top of the toboggan run pic, but they did upload other static images during the time the updating webcams were offline.
Yes, I wish they'd done it all a week earlier, but at least they've sort of fixed it before the big dump.

    Thanks Richard :) Clever man.
A bit of a worry that they're both stuck though. :(

I would imagine they've used Belgravia's web people, rather than outsourcing it. They of course, are used to doing stuff for swimming pools and golf courses.

They had last season to understand what is required.......................and about 50 other web cams on this site to give them a clue....

Hunter, Last year they outsourced the website, but presumably supplied the images and text. (I'm making assumptions all over the place here) I'm assuming it's now been moved inhouse (or outsourced) to the Belgravia corporate web developers, who wouldn't normally deal with live webcams.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter. I'm sure the problem will be rectified on Monday or when they read Richard's post above.

I just went to check things out on the website as the ski.com.au images aren't updated from yesterday
Antivirus stopped me with a warning about malicious software / online scams and fraud!

    No, it's not a logout.

It's real and it's in Latin. Not sure why.

They were possibly hacked a couple of weeks ago - all the text disappeared apparently. They've now changed their site completely - but it's possibly listed as a bad site somewhere?

    ??
    http://lakemountainresort.com.au/contact-us
I've sent 2 feedback messages, and they've responded to both.
The only issue I've had is that you have to enter your phone number and it won't accept any spaces in the phone number. What operating system/browser are you using?

I get Dangerous Page from Trend Micro at any lakemountainresort.com.au webpage and if I try to open it anyway I get website can't be found. ...... However, since you could open it, apparently, I attacked the problem with renewed interest like the rat in the jar of water with the lid off. Anyway, that aside, I added the website to my list of trusted sites on Trend Micro and voila .... Thank You

Well, now that I'm in, onto the next part of my question, since the webpage wasn't much help. Does anyone know (for certain) if an all resorts pass can be purchased online/by phone/from the ticket booth at Lake Mountain and picked up from the ticket booth at Lake Mountain?
