Looks Like Most of Mtn Open - 09 July 07

    Fresh Snowfall (24hr): 7 cm
    Snow Conditions: Excellent
    Skiable Cover: Whole Resort
    Primary Surface: Fresh

    SNOW COVER
    7cm of snow fell in Perisher Blue in the last 24hours on top of the 40cm we had over the
    weekend. The cover is very good to excellent across all four-resort areas. Skiers and
    snowboarders can expect deep snow in places and in amongst the trees could be the pick.

    LIFTSTATUS
    49/50

    ROAD CONDITIONS
    Fitting chains to 2WD

    I have always liked it when PB has close to all it's lifts running.

    And this means it looks like Olympic at Perisher is open..
    Surely the 1 lift that is not (scheduled to) open is some lowly tow rope in centre valley, not Olympic...

    Nope, according to the lift report Olympic is closed.

    PB probably need a day or two with no snow falling to dig Olympic out and prepare the T Bar track

    I rode Olympic on Sunday afternoon on my way back through the resort.

    Its fine, although as indicated needs some work on the t bar track.

    Most of this morning saw only front valley and a couple of centre valley T bars open. Near lunch time the whole lot opened up (forrester to mid station only). ANNOYING morning and a good afternoon. Visibility on Blue Cow was a bit average.

    PB - Olympic might be worth a check Wednesday 6:30 AM, you never know... although they may save it till Friday / Saturday AM ? which seems to be the general rule will lift openings

    Hows Parachute (Guthega), especially the bottom third of it - if anyone has done it recently?

    Omg I am there during my hopeful day trip to PB soon, after Olympic straight up, after some Mt. P. action, after MOOSH rendezvous at 10am at midstation, after North P. & Devil's Playground, after Rock Garden & The Ridge..
    (Well, that's kinda the plan, heh).
