Smokey moonrise in Bondi. No stars though!
Oh it's horrible
Middle harbour burn off wind changed at 430 and smothered the city
Today was the coldest Melbourne morning since October.
I'm in Echuca tonight, cold and wet here.
Feels a bit snowey
Maaaan, you get all the good gigs!! Echuca - 96m ASL of pure country goodness
To think this is the start of a few days of white.

What altitude is DP
Nice totally unexpected tonights snow is a bonus
a friend of mine advised she saw snow on the Brindabellas this morning?
Must have exceptional eyesight.. I cant see any yet. Saturday could be a different story
I look directly onto the Brindabellas and I didn't see any?
Today's progress. Nice NW moisture feed. With cold air feeding in south. Looks like a nice recipe.
Warming up. I don't expect to see snow in the morning. Different story this time tomorrow though.
Still looks good for up high in NSW. 1800m+ Mt William has been less than 5 for the last 12 hours or so. Not going to warm up much. IMO of course.
Melbourne already up to 5 mm in the gauge. Lovely steady rain atm here. A nice abrupt change of seasons
yes, I was a little doubting. maybe some frost? she lives in Tuggernong
Temps are marginal but defying the odds. Encouraging.
Temps will be marginal for the NSW resorts until around midday today when you see winds shift more WSW. Adelaide has only just gone SW in the last hour (4-5hrs of marginal temps yet).
Frontal precip is on the way out. Looks patchy out west.
Falls creek just posted Instagram video of it snowing at the moment in the bowl.
Looks like nothing but r*** right now for 99% of the NSW resorts, even though a reading of 0deg (and on it's way down) for Tbo top station.
Looking at the sat pic it looks like the bulk of the moisture is going to miss the NSW Alps this morning. Parted like the red sea.
Hotham looking the whitest out of the lot this morning .Sitting at -0.7 with a big blob of moisture about to hit
No frost around Canberra thats for sure, 8.4 degrees overnight. Wet ground is more like it.....
up top perhaps.
Nothing much settling down low and nothing surprising about that.
Falls Creek village level.
But you can see snow falling on the cams at that level .Snake gully hut must be around 1450m ? ( anyone know exactly )
probably slightly higher. Bottom elevation (Blue Ribbon) is 1450.
Village Bowl at Falls ATM.
It wasn't as cold as I expected it to be when I headed out for a swim early this morning - car was saying 11 degrees when I drove to the pool at 6am.
With this snotty stuff at marginal temps we need lots of it to fall fast for it to start to accumulate.
Winter is here
Snow down to the gully at falls (1450m), so I suspect snow level of about 1400 and falling....
Just starting to settle on the roof of Gebi's
Chose the right day for line drills.
Its cold today
Car was reading 9.5 deg.
Best news ever
My hands are cold.
Will have to sit on them
I can deal without the music but can imagine the Ibiza poolside house tail.......
But also don't like.
Pruning friggen hedges this week.
Do all the hedges of the regulars over 1 week 3 times a year.
In this weather.
Do not like.
Maintenance will be delegated near future. Do not like.
P!ssing it down here in Mt Eliza.
Hedges will be wet as
I like the fact you're in it this week. I had my turn for a couple of days last week. In the hills. Temps between 1-2 degrees and 50km/hr wind and mizzly rain for a day and a half. Sitting in the car heater for 6 hours on the way home has never felt so good.
Wish it would rotate the hell away asap.
It's better than doing same in 40 +
I observed lots of angry cagers stuck in the traffic on my ride in today!
Right now I observe that it feels colder in Canberra, and the rain is steady with what looks almost feels like sleet
Starting to stick up high in NSW now.
are we satisfied yet?
