Pissing down in cranbourne
My current view from Box Hill looking east a few minutes ago when the storm hit, and the same view about an hour prior
Looks like it will clear off in the next hour.
Yep, until the wrap around hits us tomorrow and the colder air.
Sun will probably come out this arvo
Pressures on the way down again. 990 at cape Nelson and 991.6 at Otway.
Had more rain at Hallam in 1 hour then we did for the whole of yesterday. Pretty heavy.
Temp has dropped here to 14.4. I'm actually cold here at work for the first time this year.
Yup. Has dropped in town from 22 at 11am down to under 14 in the space of 2.5 hours. Pressure at 995.
Fingers crossed for some heavy showers later with the wraparound. Adelaide copping it right now according to the radar.
would be a great day to be at the MCG to watch footy
Clear sky to the west, sun coming out.

GNARLY!! Epic shot by @posie76 at #Somers earlier!
Okay so we went from blown over wheelie bins (serious weather for Adelaide) to OMG!!! just lost the roof of my shed. Was in there wiring up the sides which had begun to come loose in the wind, just got the first cable secured when the roof came off...oh well I guess it can wait till tomorrow to sort out now.
Did you save the wire?
Yeah sun on the roof here which will warm me up a little. Was very dim in here this morning, we have good lighting but the natural light really adds to it with our big skylights.
Cant see a cloud in the Sky from my office window Looking NW. Lol
It was always going to be like this.
Temp at Buller dropping fast could snow up there soon But I dont know Buller weather
Should have rode after all.
worth a look
yr.no has 90cm of snow forecast for Kozi over next 4 days. yeah...nah?
I can see it being pretty good over 2000m. IMO
Yes it will live on to secure a grape vine in the spring
I think it will hang around up that high but melt at resort level
This is a good indicator.
This may update...or may not.
And follow up Sunday, Tuesday & Wednesday next week. Just love seeing those little crystal icons popping up!
himawari-8 is worth a look too
oh yes she is.
its on 24/7 on this PC at the moment.
Apologies for the large file. But just has to be seen in all its glory.
That fast moving delta formation in front of the low. Never seen anything like it.
Quite bizarre really. Will be observing more systems like this one I hope.
She be a timid beast
124 km/hr gusts at Thredbo
Apparent Temp is -9 C
Showers starting to fill in to the West of Melbourne via metro radar.
Claude, you might get a wet ass after all.
Window observation.... Clouds getting darker and wind picking up again.
Real temp is going down as well
That's loose as.
Some activity to the NW, but can't see much more than a shower or two for a while. I expect it will redevelop more seriously after 8pm.
I was just outside. I dont know how to explain it, but you can 'feel' that the pressure is low. The air just seems to feel that little bit heavier, I think that's the right word.
I'm gonna book you in for a meeting 6-7 at work so you have no choice but to take it on the ride home.
No bother, I have the wet weather gear if I need it.
It's still a lot more miserable to ride in the wet than the dry, gear or no gear.
I'll have a V.B and sit back and enjoy the show.
Actually I don't mind it. Although those tram tracks in the wet are deadly.
MTB tracks are just junk. Hose yourself off afterwards.
Radar looks so awesome right now watching that huge band that smashed through Victoria now sweeping down and hitting NW Tassie. They'll get bulk rain down there on the West Coast. And from all reports, they need a drink down that way.
Just got back from a little sight seeing. Certainly a bit of fun going on with people getting out on the boards for a stormy surf at West and Glenelg. Saw a couple of waves break green over the end of the jetty and many more hitting the base of the jetty from underneath. Still an hour to go till tide reaches it peak so it'll be interesting to see how far it progress. I'll duck back out when the phone recharges.
Take a few snaps
51.2 mm at Tumbarumba , not much wind and a big dark smudge out to the west.
Anybody else see the Sydney sunset about 20 minutes ago Post pics if you took any please.
Amazing sunset tonight. Sorry, but pics just dont do justice. At 5:30pm tonight, temp felt like it rose 5 degrees.
Got home, completely dry.
Wind from the north still pretty hefty.
Central pressures down to 988 over Dartmoor and Caslerton
