Not quite 5mm locally, however can't complain waking up to some sunshine. A solid week of gardening/burning off looms with foggy mornings and light winds to dominate.
Out in the city tonight, it actually feels a bit cold. Min has been revised down to 5c which is a pleasant change
At least we have some cooler nights in the forecast this week, a few 5's and 7's. Still, we're running 2c above average for both days and nights this July. Certainly has felt warmer than average.
Much warmer. There's been ice on the MYT pontoons perhaps once this winter. That's almost an all-time low!
Few showers pushing through Melbourne now just in time for the commute home. Cold in the wind and rain
Non stop rain all the way home. I think I was chasing it, as the road got progressively drier as I got near home.
CC the storm chaser on his pushie! Mild and overcast now in Caroline Springs .Non threatening clouds atm.Pretty still outside.
Bring in ya brass monkeys tonight folks! Frost Warning for the Mallee, Wimmera, Northern Country, North Central, North East, South West, Central, West and South Gippsland and East Gippsland forecast districts http://www.bom.gov.au/vic/warnings/frost.shtml
Hi all, 3mm overnight and into today (most yesterday evening). Todays max of 6.0c is the lowest maximum I have recorded this winter at home.
Nicely cool day today in Melbourne. We got to 12.5 in the city however in the wind and shade it felt significantly colder, needed my jacket each time I was outside. Dropping down to 4 in the city tonight.
Yeah, was cool down East Gippy way too. Sat around 9 or 10c most of the day, with drizzle patches. Cold out tonight, left fire cranking overnight.
Touch cold in the city this morning. Still 3c and funnily warmer in Ballarat than here (they're at 5c at the time of posting). Bit of haze about
Plenty of frost about which isn't pleasing the birds for their morning feed. Close to the coldest morning this month, which (as mentioned by @DiscoStuAU and co) has been warmer than average.
Viewbank BOM station showing 0.6c and Mt Buller BOM 1.0c The 'burbs are colder than Buller - felt it this morning.
My weather station was showing the temperature hovering around 1.5C this morning. Twas brisk on the bike for the first km or two until I warmed up. Still no rime on the MYT so not that cold.
Woodend. Low was 2.4c here, breeze didn't drop so was "milder" than many places where it was calmer. Despite non stop sun has only rebounded to 7.2c so far.
Bog standard dull Melbourne winter morning. Light winds, cloudy, a hint that there may be a little rain later today. Nothing very interesting.
Yes ..apt description of this morning....not the most stimulating conditions!Dull ,still, overcast and coolish, pavement dry!
Melbourne finishes July with 45.2mm (against LTA of 47.5mm) 15c daytime temp average vs 13.5c 8.2c overnight temp average vs 6c What shall August bring????
Started same way in lovely Tambo Upper, but now the sun is out and cloud has cleared. Friggin cold wind though.
Bairnsdale finished with 38.2mm vs LTA 49.0mm (yet another below average month) 15.5c max vs LTA 14.6c 4.1c min vs LTZ 4.0c What indeed will August bring? Tends to dry here at best of times during August.
Managed to squeeze 1mm from the overnight shower/drizzle activity, and now shrouded in fairly thick fog.
No fog in Canterbury. Nothing in the gauge, although the roads were all wet until nearly city. Fairly dark and murky though.
Mizzle here and overnight, looks to be about a mm as well but too damp to check atm. Yesterdays high was only 7.9c but was as high as 6.8c overnight as some more maritime influenced air rolled across. I know I shouldn't be a week out but so excited about next weeks weather particularly a week from now, yes totally going to be disappointed but even EC forecasting snow for me here at home at this point. HA HA will check back in when its 12 and sunny.............
Fairly dull again in Melbourne. Light drizzle, mostly in bay-side suburbs as I rode through this morning. Quite mild.
Yes pretty mild this morning, just under 9 degrees already though suspect it might cool off later today as the air down south brushes by. Haven't made 10 yet this month and had hopes and dreams of holding onto that for another day or so. Will not discuss EC and the torment a week out..........
Really drizzlely day in outer eastern burbs and Dandenong ranges. Have had alot of this drizzle this week but mainly overnight which has been convenient. Mild 7 degrees last two nights.
Nekminnitt 00z GFS comes in. Timing comes forward and Friday the snowy day. Back on the bandwagon! 9.6c the high today here at home.
Light rain in Brunswick for the past hour or so. Making it feel pretty cold when outside, looking forward to a warm bed. Can see my own breath so it must be reasonably cold...
Radar was very overwhelming yet decent shower activity last night, even seeing it on the box during the Melbourne/Richmond game. Decent period of "nothing weather" still keeping things damp leading into a gnarly week of action going by the majors.
The windy app based on the EC model seems to believe Melbourne will get some snow next week. Wouldn't that be nice?
Just 1.0mm here early this morning and into the mid morning. Radar and sky suggesting maybe a little more drizzle as the drier air approaches. Max so far today 7.6c, this anticyclonic gloom producing quite the stretch of mild nights but very cool max's for these parts.
