23mm of rain for the city overnight... Quite a good drop! Usual localised flooding on the roads here... Good thing there is little traffic

23mm on the mornington pen too, so well above what was expected but i'm not complaining. In the next week we'll see plenty more, just in time to begin burn-off season.

Yeh is pissed down for 2-3 hours early am here at Somers, our tin shed roof was getting smashed.
Was lovely, bring on more this weekend. Going to be a good weekend for isolation weather watching

AXS-R showing that we will get at least that again on Friday/Saturday, with another 15-30mm in the tank for Melb region.

Just over 20mm at our place. Went out for a ride after 7am when it cleared, Gardiner's Creek flowing hard, over the bike path at Kooyong rd.

Wasn’t expecting such a good soaking. Tanks needed a good top up and the kids ducks are certainly happy about it.

Bucketing down in Mt Beauty and Tawonga South. Rain's been going all night. 16C so quite mild. Can't work because it's too wet for earthmoving equipment.

Bit over 10mm this morning at home. I slashed some of the paddocks yesterday. First time in over 4 years - exciting stuff.

17mm at Melbourne Airport in the past 90 minutes.
Coupled with the 25mm it received overnight, and the average monthly rainfall is just about met.

Still raining. But it does look like it's about to clear.

Some pretty good numbers for the afternoon rain.

Another 13mm for the city, bringing our total to 36mm. Over half way to the monthly average on day 2, not bad!

A few single digit nights forecast for the city over the weekend & into next week - gotta say, excited for this.

Only 5mm for me today, up to 28 for the event. This arvos rainband was just above us so I missed out, but work in Dande South got hosed.

Bring all this on. Happy to have a wet period while i'm stuck inside. Also waiting on delivery on the new tractor that has a cabin (so I dont care about rain anymore).

We're now up to 35mm since Wednesday. EC reckons another 30mm tonight.

It's turning out to be quite an autumn!

My folks in Seymour have had 200mm more rain than at this time last year I've just been advised.
    263 (2020) vs 24.5 (2019).

Breezy afternoon in Docklands, out for my first walk in 3 weeks. No one around except for a few swans and their babies in the river.

Just before the next rain event starts, just a quick flashback to yesterday afternoon, Gardiners Creek:

Flash flooding too, potential that it could be worse tonight/tomorrow.
