Gusts up to 91 kph at Mt William around 2am.
Looks like some loosely defined mammatus clouds around the city, mild and breezy:
Certainly a change today from the run of crisp sunny winter days of the past week.
We’ve enjoyed sharing the pastel coloured sunsets with the locals over the last few nights though
The fog rolled in over the paddocks last night, but we were so distracted that we almost mist it
That fog left its evidence dribbled all over the ground this morning
Through the droplets you can see the leaf veins magnified, and even see the tree canopy reflected on their surfaces
@DiscoStuAU those mammatus clouds are now drifting over the north east of Melbourne. Rain won’t be too far off
There was some nice color for a while this morning. Didn’t get a chance for any pics. More interesting than the recent mornings. But now it’s a boring grey day
Actually getting a little sun as it dips low in the west.
Winds have dropped, it's quite pleasant outside.
May even end up with a nice sunset
That was the first bit of sun all day and it lasted all of half an hour. Northly wind made today quite pleasant even without the sun.
Relatively nice sunset this evening:
Walked past Jane which was both surprising and confusing as I felt like I knew her having watched her on the news and viewed her website for so many years!
Great photo Stu.
Mild, but winding morning.
A bit of rain brewing up over the eastern burbs now.
Raining now in the Dandenongs. Was a surprisingly nice day. Windy but still quite warm. Cooling down now with this band of showers.
Went up to Steavensons Falls today.
Blah sort of winter's day today.
Temperatures very mild, but that wind from the north is pretty gusty and light overcast all day. Generally unimpressive.
Really was pretty blah. Had 3.6 mm of drizzle since 9 am here. Pretty mild out still.
Haven't needed the heater for the last few days here in the city. Certainly is warmer than any of us would like!
Had the fire on last night and the kids complained they were too warm.
Still 12.c with a gusty easterly swinging around.
Very mild again this morning.
EC saying a chance of showers all day, but not amounting to much.
Not much showing on the radar, so I'm somewhat dubious.
Light showers in the eastern burbs now.
Quite a heavy shower passing over 3113.
Much better than the constant wind we've had the past few days....
Some real short sharp showers between 1 and 2pm. Some great cloud watching. Bright sunshine now.
Next band just passed Geelong.
2/5 of ****-all since that first shower around lunch-time.
Radar does not inspire.
Epic rainbow this afternoon:
That's some serious rainbow colour.
You can't be far from my office, not that I'll be back there this year. I'm not complaining though, working from home in East Gippy is awesome.
We live on Lorimer Street in Docklands... Perfect for views of the city and views of weather crossing the bay!
Cold start, 0.8c here, decent frost. Looks like another sunny day fpr us.
Frost on cars around the northern burbs of melb
Wish it was this cold more often
Certainly the coolest morning of the week, but didn't feel too bad on the bike. A few misty spots, that's burnt off pretty fast though.
Back to milder mornings for the next couple.
Friday shaping up as reasonable weather for Team Bears Activities! But weekend looks a bit dubious!Perhaps we need winter additive to our two stroke mix!Bloody cold this morning.....but pleasant in sun behind Maccas windows looking northwards.
Back to mild this morning. Winds picking up from the north.
10c here at 7am. Great day for getting the washing dry!
Buxton....windy sunny cool.....work before this front comes in tonight!
Another lovely sunset this evening after a pretty mild day:
Nice all day at Mt Margaret.....but Team Bears are on way down in dark!Sunny, cool, breezy no rain....good for bush work or bush walk or both!
It remained Sunny and mild this morning at 9 am while swimming laps at the 50 M. heated outdoor pool.
Missed the best of the sunset tonight but did catch the last of it.
Very mild in Melbourne overnight, the city didn't drop below 13. Didn't need the doona last night... 1mm recorded as well
Just enough rain to wet the roads.
Sun out, clouds gone.
Rain was heavy af around 0330hrs but didn't last long.
Decent day ahead before the wrap-around.
Driving up to Narbethong before lunch today to collect my sleddy /pulk type thing from @teckel , the weather was fine and clear. @Ubiquitous Steve stopped by. I was quite disorganized this morning and I should have thrown some boots, work attire/ gear and the chain saw/ 2 stroke fuel etc. in the car and gone up to assist the Team Leader with some track clearing near Mt. Margaret.
I cannot see any sign of cold and wet weather coming but I am often wrong about these things.
Clear, sunny and dry weather continued this afternoon after lunch today while I was cycling up & down some hills that would have killed Elvis , if he had not died already from overeating while pilled off his tree and ensconced upon the commode.
I saw an Eagle with a small fury mammal ( rabbit or possum?) in its talons perched on a high tree branch . What a fine beastie!. It flew off with the dead prey in its clutches.
Sneaky bit of rain last night. Was going to sow some new seed yesterday, but luckily ran out of time before dark and a fairly heavy 12.5mm. It was only a very small area that received it.
It was a little damp this morning. Rained for about 10 minutes during the morning ride, it's pretty cool and damp out there.
Showers are marching up the bay, looks like a wet afternoon.
6.8mm here overnight. Heavy enough at 4am to wake us. 7c now, doesn’t look like much chance of getting any warmer.
Raining a little here, caught me on the bike.
9am - 5pm rainfalls. You can see how the Dandies and far east of the city have done well, as they usually do weather from this aspect.
Damp, light drizzle this morning. Not too cold, slowly clearing.
Standard Melbourne winter day, really.
There is no incoming moisture the BOM radar for Melb. at present.
I am going for a bike ride.
I will report back on weather conditions out there along the Main Yarra Trail.
There is not enough snow to XC ski close to Melb. for a day trip yet so I need to keep fit for upcoming Nordic skiing.
