Exploring options to live in Thredbo throughout July/August next season (I have 365 pass). Planning to report and shoot in Thredbo for the month or so.
Anybody aware of any lodges who need supportive management for the month? Or alternatively are there any that provide long term accom for this sort of duration? Happy to pay my way (or work for it) but not at mid-season rates.

Fall back will be in Jindy, otherwise. Any leads/options in Jindy are also appreciated.

I would also like to know is it possible (and how much!) to spend an entire season at Thredbo?

    Just wondering really.

Are lodge manager's no longer a thing? I remember when I used to live on Buller over a decade ago you used to be able to justify your accomm by being a lodge manager - basic housekeeping, meet and greet, general maintenance, cooking etc.

Apply to be a fulltime trainee Ski Patroller and you can stay in their lodge. ;)

They are absolutely a thing but a Lodge Manager is a full season or year round job, not a cheap peak season bed in the Village.

Some lodges do take on staff to assist during peak season ... I'd try contacting directly.

There is some land up that way as well, maybe you could find a land owner who will let you set up a camp.

You could get a bedsit for around / just under just over $300/ week for a 12 month lease, or Similar total cost for a season.
