The 5 kms rule will stay with the Curfew until Oct. 26th at very least . That is official according the the great emperor today in THE AGE. So once again in 2020 we look at the snow cam.s and weep.
Baw Baw got a cm. or two of snow overnight. It does not look like even enough for the Op shop rock hopper skis with the scratched up pattern bases. Maybe the one above can give us a proper Nov. snowfall at Baw Baw in time with being allowed out of Melbourne?.
Just a teaser. Again. Bottom of Hut/Summit actually looks pretty good in that shot above. I was torn about whether or not to go up in September but the prospect of a fine the size of a trip to Japan (almost) won the argument.
If it snows properly after Nov. 8th then I am going to Baw Baw with planks. All bans on everything that seems like fun will be lifted on 8/11/20 incl. going to BB to ski out of season.
Unlikely, but not impossible, as some of us recall. Fingers crossed for one of those Bass strait southerly specials.
We had great XC skiing at Baw Baw in Nov. 2019. I believe you may have been there. You were there for the October 2019 Baw Baw ski session and the Dec. 2019 Baw Baw ski day.
Just been checking out the Baw Baw cams and thinking wistfully of the season that wasn't. It's about time that someone de-fogged and straightened the Mid Summit cam. It has been useless for a long time. I presume there is some staff there at the moment, after all, someone would need to be there to feed Rowdy and Warragul.
