Do you reckon while they are there, they could do a bit of 'summer grooming'. It looks like it would only take them 10 minutes per run!

    Desperately needed in Bull Run.

I get that plum pine can’t be touched cos of the rodents, but the snow gum saplings are out of control. You could probably just pull them out, wouldn’t even need to cut them

All the soil from that hole should be piled on the summit, Buller might gain another 100 vertical

I laughed out loud this year when a resort employee proudly told me that Bloody Hell had been summer groomed the summer just gone. I said what about the snow gums that have taken over the entire skier’s left half of the run!

There’s always talk of guerrilla summer grooming, I wonder if anyone has actually done it?

Quick question for Buller regulars: does anyone know the day when Boggy Creek ran for the last time?

I know a stunted version of it will operate next year, but after more than half a century, the old McCallum Engineering T-bar is effectively dead. :(

Yes the CFA skiers joked back then that they worked harder on saving some areas than others.

Yeah, I should probably do that. But it's a pain in the bum trawling through vast amounts of absurdly optimistic marketing spin to try and find some actual news.

All the cars (Targa) are parked at Andrews and the Plough shed tonight. Hope they have antifreeze

Baw Baw's post for tomorrow, interesting use of the word "advise" to carry chains, not compulsory. However may be directed to fit them!

I drove up just before 9 am on Sat. 9/11/19 to Mt. Baw Baw. My car ( AWD with All Terrain tyres) was fine, plus the driver makes a big difference in what seemed like August snow conditions.@beefa skiing told me he got there mega early i.e 7 am before the road clearing commnenced and he skied down some of the BB rd. !!. That is one cool thing to do , no doubt!.
I did carry my own snow chains in my car but nobody stopped me. There was a sign saying " all cars must fit chains here" at the entry point.

I see what you mean - I really hope that it's a trick of the lights. There's nothing showing up on the Vic emergency website, so that's either a good thing, or a really really bad thing.

I keep watching their progress. It's a bigger project than I thought and there appears to be a wall missing. Snow falling every other week hasn't helped! More again next week perhaps??
