I’m rh There’s a lot of hungry unfulfilled snow lovers out there. Northern hemisphere Will not be an option and how do you get a bunch of employees for 2 weeks work? Lets goooo
C'mon mannnnnn.... have you seen the social media feeds? You've posted a pic from half way down Bourke St. We're seeing guys skiing Frenchmans, Main St (to the bottom!) etc and skinning out and this is the best you can offer? That's why 4/10 p,s, I could be wrong. Verm could have just been taking the piss - he does have a very strange sense of humour (toilet based)........
I stumbled over it yesterday... and it was really nice.. I reckon (hope) it will be the only time being alone on LBS on a freshly groomed run, blue sky at 10.30amish.. I should have been there watching a kid at Interschools....
Interesting. They trialled a Bucceri machine back in 2002/03 but it was a dud - it was designed to make snow in warm temperatures rather than a degree or two or three above zero so they never got the calibration right and it kept on freezing up. Here’s a couple of links I found looking to jog my memory on the year. It was out in front of the Abom, and sounded like whales mating. https://www.smh.com.au/national/seasons-greetings-20020601-gdfbtp.html https://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/mount-buller-20030522-gdgslo.html
I understand It belongs to a off mountain local. Allegedly he wants to make snow at his establishment so the kids can play while mummy sips her latte
I loathe any videos that use a text to voice system, rather than actually having someone read the copy. It's just *so* painful to listen to (especially when it's essentially reading what is already on the screen)
3-5cm last night LBS perfect at 8am - very grippy at 12 noon Mountain looking so good Stirling trip planned for tomorrow
Refund conditions, BSL have been extremely reasonable and generous IMO. Hi Season Member, Buller Ski Lifts is offering all 2020 Season Members the choice of how much you contribute in 2020 or receive a credit or refund of the purchase price - regardless of how many days you used your Membership/s in 2020. COVID-19 has taken away many choices from us all this year. BSL considered carefully how to recover some of its costs and at the same time treat loyal Season Members fairly. Various options considered included a ‘day’s used’ and a pro-rata ‘days of lift operation’ approach, however neither of these felt completely fair for everybody. With no suitable ‘one-size-fits-all’ answer we ultimately decided giving you, our Season Members, the choice of how much you pay in 2020 was the fairest way to go. The BSL team did everything in our power to deliver the best possible mountain experiences this winter. We take pride that Mt Buller was the only Australian resort not to restrict access to its valued Season Members. We worked tirelessly against a backdrop of a global pandemic to get open, to stay open and to deliver a positive and safe experience for 44 days. We know many of you understand and appreciate these efforts and in turn wish to show your support for our mountain in 2020 and to renew your Membership/s for 2021. Some Members were fortunate to enjoy all 44 days of lift operations, others spent fewer days on the slopes and unfortunately many were compelled to stay home all season. Therefore, we decided every Member would be equally entitled to a credit or refund and leave it to you to choose what amount is fair and reasonable based on your appreciation of your 2020 Membership/s during this unusual year. You have options: If you choose to rollover a full or partial CREDIT towards 2021 Season Membership/s you are eligible for the exclusive price of Adults $799 and Kids/Over 65s $449. - Valid during Early Bird sales period ending 31 October 2020. - Your 2020 Membership remains active if the resort opens in September. If you choose a full or partial REFUND payment will be returned to the credit card used to purchase your 2020 Season Membership/s. - Applications close 31 October, 2020. - Your 2020 Membership remains active if the resort opens in September. Not to seek a credit or refund in relation to your 2020 Season Membership/s. Take time to make your choice; just let us know by 31 October and we’ll process your request. We will commence processing in early October when the season closes. Thank you for your loyalty, your passion and for being a Mt Buller Season Member during this 2020 rollercoaster ride.
Pretty stoked on that outcome. I'll probably do a partial credit, i appreciate the effort buller made for season members. Further cements my loyalty to buller in Aus, big ups all.
I think that’s a great response and I think it will work for them The MCC reduced the membership for this year, but still gave people the option to pay in full and apparently plenty did.
Kudos to BSL - great outcome indeed The position all year has been 'September announcement', and here we have a terrific response on Sept 1. Can't fault. Rollover for me - fingers crossed for normal programming in '21.
Looks like the bad news is the early bird season pass has increased for 2021. Up from $799 to $899. 11% jump
True, but I'm not rolling over as I didn't get a 2020 pass. Will probably still end up getting one but was pretty surprised with the increase when I got the email today.
so the squad kids who are still on the hill and still "training" can get a full refund or roll over to next year......
Works for me, they can keep my money warm in a long term interest saver account and I get another crack at it next year, plus end of this month.
great result but very strange - I only received the Village car park email and not the SP email Mrst LTB and I have Blue Passes but the kids both have SP (which saw about 4 hours action in the july school hols before lockdown) Guess I'll just make a call tomorrow and clarify but Ithink all round it's a great result. Honestly, I think Buller, both BSL and the local stakeholders, have done an exemplary job of handling things this year in very, very difficult circumstances, not just on snow but also in the community with a couple of big losses.
Buller and BSL have done a great job supporting the mountain and the community at every turn this year... I've been one of the few 'lucky' ones caught here during the lock down and still being able to work / school remotely. Nothing but smiles and support from everyone. They could have gone the 'dog talk prohibition' approach to life here - but they did quite the opposite - and that flows through how everyone has behaved. This has lessons for how to deal with populations more broadly! Our family will be opting to contribute to 2020. Whilst it has been an amazing and unique experience since the lifts stopped - and we are much fitter - we can't wait to see everyone here again.
