on hill is way easier and much less contact with others traveling to and from each day. At Best, it is 45 minutes each way to Mansfield and can be much longer.

I would expect the opposite. We don't really know the landscape just yet, but accommodation providers remaining open will be keen to fill rooms.

Yep just 1 nights accomodation for 1 person; the hill for 1 is usually too $$ so landed air b and b and don't mind driving up / getting a bus for 1.5/2 days max skiing

Try Merrijig Motor Inn. The bus picks you up from there

    Hey guys

Traditionally at Buller for the first week of September - generally speaking how are the snow levels normally the last few years ?

Is it normally pretty solid levels of snow or a bit hit and miss in your experience ?

Never hit the mountain that late in the year so just curious..............

it's been good, often with no crowds. End of September, October can get a bit thin.

One of the best days I had last year was just after the first week of September.
As many on here say, September is the best time to ski
