yeah belly its totally underrated.....nice 2hrish choof up a protected track, a hut and campsite just at the treeline, reasonably contained summit area with the full range of runs and tours

Shhh, don't tell everybody! It used to be busy years back but there was only a handful of skiers there on my last trip two years back, but it was footy finals.

Rated as one person. I find it a generous size for one, it'd be very squeezy with a kid in there as well if that's what you're thinking

I'm looking at a day trip. Which one depends on the forecast. Followed by a Buller day if the snow has firmed up.

Skied Stanley's today. Only did one run but it's filling in nicely. Another 20 cents tonight and it will be well worth a look.

Had a great 2 days, plenty of snow, no shortage of options in Stanley Bowl or for that matter, anywhere up top. I reckon the most amount of snow I've seen at this time of year on Stirling. Met frazels and enjoyed some good runs in the bowl with him, before bumping into mr as I left.

    Will post some pics later

Went today, rain down low,sleet-snow up top.Only walked 200 meters from TBJ and then started skinning up Bluff spur tk.
Track is in good nick, the rain didn't seem to be affecting it much but as usual snow quality and depth got better the higher you went.
One run on wet fresh in Stanley, was a bit sticky but a good cover.
I was told there was 11 people at the BS hut last night, most were camping so it's been busy up at Stirling

Spoke to a patroller on Stirling yesterday when I quickly dropped in on way home from Buller. He reckons there is 140cm on the summit!

Hi Snowgum, looking forward to your update on Stirling conditions. Any pics would be great :). Should be heading up there next week for a solo day trip.
