Well it has a whole new look and I have been checking through and updating the info (I wish they would stop renaming the Falls Creek Express)

Its about half done now but you can see where I am heading

Yep I have wanted to do something like that for a few years but being self taught I took a while. Its a great way to learn this stuff, pick something your interested in and build a site, thats what I did but it got really popular so I kept it going as a hobby.

    Nice. Improvement over the old.

Your logo looks lower quality on the main site.. versus the one you use on your discussion board.

    ----------------

Edit: while they are two different source images... they look the same here. But on the web pages .. they look lower res. ??

edit 2: I see what you've done.. you've sized the image onto the front page of your main site with this code:

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header"> Code:</div><div class="ubbcode-body ubbcode-pre" style="height: 34px;"><pre> &lt;img height="83" width="348" src="http://asb-alpine.com/.........&gt; </pre></div></div>but your native logo size is: 77 x 305. You've stretched it! [IMG]

One of the things that particular web template does is resize to suit peoples resolution, perhaps thats why it stretches VSG

    nice site ASB [IMG]

oh, the last few words on the main site might need a bit of work.

are you "to please to help out"?
or "to pleased to help out"?

Will take a look MS obviously an error

Hopey thanks will look at that, thats the trouble with spell checkers, they dont also look for Typo's

R&C I guess its spam if its a commercial site. Ian D has always been fine with me mentioning my site here as long as I don't over do it.

The long timers here would have seen quite a number of change over the years, I look at some of the original versions now and cringe.

Still its been a fun thing to do all these years and I have learnt heaps, just today I leant about how to add margins so now I have to go back over every page to do that, but thats why I built the site as a learning excercise, you should try it some time R&C, self improvement that is.

VSG's comment are because you have set the size (in the html source) of the logo on your home page to be 348x83 but in reality the pic is 305x77 ... fix that and the logo will look fine

This (and Pauls which I was going to lock as well but a mod deleted it on the against commercial posting line which is fair enough) are getting borderline for commercial posts.

Commercial posts are not allowed on the forums. That is a black and white rule.

We will be putting in place over the next month or two a solution for these type of posts where you can go crazy and promote yourselves.

Until then however it remains a non-commercial posting rule here.

I like your solution Ian, problem has always been that often peple are seeking information of acommercial nature on forums so that line can be crossed so easily.

[IMG] your a funny bugger ASB. Your site is a nice site and good on you for putting it together as part of your “self improvement†program. That is very clever marketing spin (as usual). However your site is a commercial site with one purpose only and nothing you can say or do will change that fact.

I'm obviously too tired tonight to work this out for myself, but when I'm looking at the '2007 Rates & Booking Information' page, where can I see how many people can fit in each of the apartments?

Have you thought about putting floorplans in? Explains more about the layout of an apartment than pics on their own.

Is there a map of the village showing your location? Once again, there probably is, or I could probably work this out from any other Falls Creek map, but, you know 'Throw me a bone here, people'.

Also, your normal tariffs are in darkish blue, and your whitespace tariffs are in maroonish purple: what are the rates that are printed in lavenderish purple?

I get a bit anal about 'to' vs 'too' and misplaced commas, and so on, so try and pick them up when you can.

    Overall, I like the site.
