    Hi all,
Thanks for the input from this forum. Our few days in Naeba was a lot of fun. We stayed at the Naeba Prince for 3 nights. The trip there was very easy from Narita. We scored free breakfasts thanks to the Seibu club and kids skiied free. I also got given free lift tickets for the duration of our stay for both adults (was told not to tell anyone - so shh). We hired gear as 2 days skiing wasn't worth the effort of bringing gear, but gear for 4ppl cost $470.

Loved the Curry house near the top of the mountain, and enjoyed the range of restaurants in the hotel, more so than what was available at Shiga Kogen. Note it takes 10 mins to walk from one end to the other. We didn't ski much of the terrain as we had our 2 kids with us and the 4yr old hasn't skiied before. The Dragondola shut before we got there.

Our first day it was 17 degrees on snow!!! So we ditched most clothing and gloves etc. The following day was near 5 degrees, much better. both were blue ski and near to no wind. The snow softened up real quick, but had more cover than Thredbo.

For those with kids there is a snow play park 1000yen gets you an all day pass, they have sledging, snowball play, little kids play, and for some fun they have a tube course.

Its all in this youtube video -
We then spent the next 2 weeks going to Matsumoto, Takayama, Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa, Yokohama, Enoshima & Tokyo.
