I always thought that it was a key accountability of someone awarding a contract to determine whether a company was actually capable of delivering what was needed. they were also accountable for putting in place a contract that held the successful party to those deliverables, and enforcing it.
Yes, today. We first looked at 315pm but it was back up towards SS. We retired to Cattlemans for drinks to pass time but queue was still huge. Got lift to top of Bullet to try and schuss to Horse Hill lift but the wind and hail was like being shot in the face repeatedly with a paintball gun and my 6 year old who was already soaked through couldn't do it - neither could I frankly. So we retired to ABOM for pizza. With the credit card burning my hand we skied down and waited in cow camp for a while (took photo to explain to wife why daughter wasn't home). Finally joined the queue about 430pm and got to car park around 530 with daughter frozen solid. Fun times!
you need to contact RMB / Travelsafe and lodge your complaint , along with everyone else waiting for a bus
I'm pretty sure they already know it's a total disaster without my input. They are copping it on social media anyway, just one of many examples below - not me I might add, I do all my whinging on here!
Yeah it'd be expecting a bit much of RMB slackers to look out the window at what's is going on outside and contemplate for just a moment "Do you think all those people standing there in the hail for an hour or two are happy" and than get off their cracks and do something about it instead of sitting in the office sucking down tea and complaining about disgruntled callers excoriating them on the phone. There is a good reason why most of Buller doesn't run like it used to on the bad old days and that is some people taking responsibility and being proactive in improving the product rather then waiting for a wall of brick bats to fall on them
Booked at 2, 2 hour wait so far.. did just yet a text regarding my driver though Another lodge member wanted to leave at 9 also told 2 hours.
We were naughty the other day an drove my mum from her Accomm to the bus terminal because if she missed her bus to Melb because of a late taxi she was stuffed.
After last weekend's Mt Buller bus schmozzle, we decided to ski at Falls Creek this weekend and the accommodation transfer service (oversnow) worked like clockwork today - great customer service. I also see Mt Buller's Facebook forum has now banned negative comments!? Straight from the China & North Korea playbook....
As i said previously . The more people that complain the better chance there is of the problem being fixed
If you're talking about https://www.facebook.com/groups/Mt.Buller.Snow.Forum/]this group[/url], it's not run or controlled by Buller, but by the Snowlovers Global group.
falls had a bit of an advantage. after they terminated the arrangement with the previous oversnow operator, RMB ran it themselves. When they had it running fairly well they outsourced it and could demand a high standard. since then government has put even more pressure on RMBs to outsource services. I doubt that Buller would be allowed to run it themselves, even for a year or 2.
Yes: to the RMB directly, to a Mt Buller email survey request (following last weekend’s ski) and to the Mt Buller Facebook Review. Only response was an automated private message from the FB Review.
I still don’t understand the 12 bus maximum rule in regards to day trip shuttle bus. If Buller won’t allow more buses for safety reasons and the new provider is now running the same amount of buses as last years provider then the problem is purely down to more customers this year than last. Sounds like a good business problem to have. So you either get smaller buses and lots more of them, or build a gondola from horse hill to village and have no buses, no bus drivers and no queue. One things for sure, as Melbourne grows so will that village queue.
You can still use the app to book taxis. Travel Safe are still providing Valet Service. My understanding MMBL are picking up at all the major hotels and can also line in the line to pick up from the car parks. Competition is good thing.
Of course. The problem with paying people to block another businesses right to trade is that you have to be careful you don't upset those you paid lest they spill the beans on you.
Had a great day on the hill today, and the village shuttles ran brilliantly. The drivers went out of their way to be courteous. We had four trips with a maximum wait of 2 minutes. Likewise for our taxi up on Friday - sure, the driver had less than 1/2 day under his belt, but could not fault the service. We were up on Queens birthday so experienced first hand the teething issues with the new provider, but it seems that they now have their act together.
PS MMBL is back, Chamber of Commerce was getting to Defcon 1 with the RMB. I think it's unfortunate, I appreciate the RMB wanting to make sure all commercial arrangements were squeaky clean given their past, but the way this has played out has been very unfortunate.
Not sure of the specifics, just MMBL are back running taxis, so are travel safe, no idea how that's working with them being in parallel.
The fact that most of the Travelsafe taxis are from Queensland is bizarre. And that MMBL is all the sudden ready to start taxis again, with personnel and everything, as Travelsafe beg for drivers on Uber forums. It’s just a complete shambles.
