    Hi everyone,

I need some help from Falls Creek regulars, but not about skiing. I haven't been to Falls for 15 years.

I'm heading up with the family in a week or so, my wife doesn't really ski, she'll come out a few times, but it's not her thing.

    Tips Needed
I need tips on cafes and bars, basically nice places to hang out. Good coffee and snacks etc..but the most important part is the look. It can't be tacky, needs to be the upmarket/classy feel. She'll take a book and a laptop and just needs somewhere nice to hang. We're staying on mountain, but she'd love to try a few spots while I'm out with my kids on the slopes.

The nicer the better...what do you suggest?

    Cheers
    Jamo

Be Food in the village bowl
Elk opposite the school in Slalom st
    Husky in Sitzmark st
For apres ski Astra - next to Husky

All of those are nice places to chill. Be Food can get very busy at times but mostly it's very relaxed. Husky is usually good unless it's a bad weather day

There's a new tea room at Pretty Valley lodge. Haven't been there but it would be worth a look

In addition to the places mentioned earlier, Milch is another option for coffees etc during the day

I've only tried to have a meal once on the mountain, at Milch. The wait person repeatedly ignored me. I left.

IME Milch's main problem is variability. Like the little girl who had a the little curl....

It very much depends on the staff. We went to Milch one day last week in the morning and afternoon. The staff we had were very good. Coffee was good and we liked the layout and feel.

Huski has been a go to for us over the last couple of years. We found they have had consistently good staff and coffee.

Our kids love the updated Frying Pan, got plenty of use of the pool table/ping pong and so on.
Meals have improved a great deal as well

Thanks for all the replies everyone. Heading up tomorrow, should be arriving in the afternoon in the snow (I haven't needed to use chains for years, as I mostly ski in late August and spring).

Looking forward to enjoying a cracking few days with plenty of snow!
