Perisher has never allowed overnight parking, even before the Tube.
But surely the vast majority of luxury accommodation comes with its own patking.
The overnight parking is for when groups of 20 try to share the luxury accommodation
Thats just only Perisher, most allow on mountain parking somewhere.
But the dire predictions you made didn't happen. It's the true meaning of the exception proving the rule. "Proving" actually means "testing" in that context, and the test has left the rule wanting.
How else are you going to drop the kids right outside VT?
A) Doesn’t hurt Perisher
B) all the high end accommodation in Thredbo has private parking, so this wouldn’t change and therefore the luxury feel is still there.
Most places have private parking except lodges, some have a few dedicated spots but they rely on kt to provide the rest. The reality is all those jobs won’t survive if their is no visitors on a daily basis because they can’t get parks. Thredbo needs the parking to be taken up by paying guests.
Some of the lodges have parking as well. The club we are in used to give members first dibs or the manager decided who got a space. But now it is an extra charge on the booking and first in best dressed.
As I said some have a few dedicated spots.
The rest take up spots in the overnight spaces, and I am not sure they actually pay for the privilege.
