    Thanks for the comment Mufts - the 54"' Boggers are certainly BIG tyres, or should I say Tires.

    The new Nokian 475 70 R 17 LT Hakka 44 Tyres, as posted, are 'true winter tyres" and are available either studded on non-studded.

    We are unlikely to see these Nokian snow tyres being used in Australia but you certainly will see them in use in Antarctica

    Those are mud tyres totally different to snow tyres.
    That Hilux would have blasted through those closed winter roads in Hokkaido during my recent trip with absolute ease.
    Also tip! Autos much smoother than manuals driving on winter roads.makes braking safer using transmission.

    How do they go fording creeks.look like giant floats....bouyancy issues?
