If I could sum up my time in Japan it would be AWESOME!

So many amazing memories for the first time in my adult life I have serious Holiday Hangover and want to be back already. I saw someone else's trip report from Nowaza and was feeling those pangs of missing it already and so I thought I'd share my TR in a somewhat more abridged version. :)

Started in Tokyo, first surprise you can drink beer on the bus!

Mario carting around the streets of Tokyo is a damn fun way to get around. :)

Robot Restaurant is a must see, because where else do you see a ninja turtle fly in on a butterfly? :D

Shinkansen to Nagano to pick up the car was fast and easy, more legroom than a plane but pretty expensive! (~$200) :O Easy drive to Nowaza and then we stayed at Nowaza Utopia and it was GREAT!

Then onto snow! It was great coverage up high, a little light down low but up top we had a ball we got 30cms overnight and then skied all day in light fluffy snow with no wind it was the favorite day of the trip for both of us!

My partner lost her glove on the chairlift so I got to do the untouched chairlift run which was fun! :) Clearing that car took me back to living in Canada... I don't miss doing it! :D

Did a couple days skiing so nothing new to post here but then we went out to the snow monkies and Maguse Onsen for Christmas day! It was very cool :)

Then back to powder snowboarding and skiing that day (I do both) switched to boarding when some friends turned up, we had lots of fun in the trees! :)

Then after a couple days hard skiing it was time to leave. I was sad but excited to see Shirawaka-Go which was everything I had hoped for an ancient village which felt like living 200 years ago, at night even everyone had left I was walking around the whole village making my own footprints in fresh snow, it felt like I was all back in time. I loved it!

Then to My Fuji which we got a perfect clear day for! On the way we found a cute little ice cavern with a Shire to love. Which was pretty ace for the two of us to snog! :D

When in Fujikawaguchiko make sure you try Hotto Noodles they are the BEST, Sake out of a box was interesting too :D

Then back to Toyko for more fun and exploring, finally flying home and feeling stoked with the trip and wishing I was back. Shinijku Crossing is a sight to behold! :) ESPECIALLY on new years EVE!!!! And check out the size of that Gungam Statue!

It was my first trip to Japan and I loved every minute of it, the people were so polite and respectful. The areas so clean, and everything was just awesome. I now know what JaPOW is all about and want to be back ASAP... :)

    Thanks
    Chris
