It's actually one the nicer mornings we've had in a while in the city. Some clouds and grey about, but bits of blue sky and sun hitting surfaces. Still want more rain, but a taste of sun is nice

Some of that topsoil does take the scenic route to the ocean.
It goes via my window > floor > mop > sink > sewer > ocean.

There's a lone cell near Lithgow headed for the basin now. I hope it dies before it crosses the ranges. A sunny morning would be nice for a change. Four days of overcast is enough.

That cell crossed Sydney's West and South and is now about to exit over the Royal National Park and out to sea. Rainfall totals seem to have been very small.

It is nice to see some sun and blue sky for a change. The smoke is still at bay. It's warm and humid, with what little wind there is being a light Easterly.

It will be interesting to see what happens later. The thunderstorm outlook for this afternoon and evening still looks promising, with 'Severe storrms likely' fro the Mid North Coast to the Illawarra arout 17:00-20:00: https://www.weatherzone.com.au/laye...EdFYiMlVzAAJgBWb3g8AFceRHcIRipFPBJhHkYAXXVVIA

Storm potential and Access - C rain forecast for this afternoon, seems the south coast is the main target. Charts from Weatherwatch .

Lower BM's
We really need something to flare in the Northern Reaches of BM's/Southern Hunter corridor to see any excitement in Sydney Basin.
Bit of 'dead-spot' of activity through there, yet.
Reckon we'll get some stuff pop up as they come off the hill. Just walked up the road to get some lunch and it's super primed out here.

Will there be a second round of storms/rain with a bit more heating behind this band? Looking at the models this morning it seemed like the best storms were going to happen between 4-8pm.

Def best in late morning for ACT, GDR and interior.
As far as Sydney’s best chance goes, yeah now through to late arvo IMO.

cooler uppers move more overheard (SYD) and shear increases.
