Yesterday from 830-840am I would have received 10 of those 19 mm’s was absolutely torrential! Lighter showers incoming now.
Showers are starting to come more from the NE now so we might get some surprisingly decent showers tonight. Temp is pretty fresh at 11C as well.
Beautiful picture! We have another thread that would appreciate this pic as well. https://www.ski.com.au/xf/threads/sunset-and-sunrise-photos-thread.55966/
The drive to jindy tonight was wet until the Marulan Weigh Station. then bone dry was strange. Rain started again in Cooma
With all this easterly quadrant wind lately, nights very mild in Bathurst. Wouldn’t mind some of that precip the coasters are getting lately. We have our winter festival starting tomorrow and goes for 2 weeks. Will be mild this weekend but the night festivities the following weekend may be a tad cooler
Not sure where else to post this but Jindy noticeboard is going off re a meteor (or UFO!) seen in the sky...
Thanks Ozgirl, I will check it out. Looks and feels like another mild day coming up again. Only 1.5mm to midnight last night and 0.3mm since.
Very overcast and mild (relatively speaking) here this morning in Bywong, however high humidity is making it feel very "UK" like.
21mm to 9am, tad more than the forecast 1-5mm it’s pretty noteworthy given July total rain is only 88mm-odd. Still 220mm behind avg til end of July though, but 200mm better than last year so at least it’s improving. Looks to be the rare isolated shower now but that’s it for a few days - all models like something Mon with a westerly cloudband but nothing substantial.
Sun is just peaking through the clouds now after a very overcast morning in the South-East of Sydney, still looks very wet on the ground outside
Got a light fog at home this morning which is quite rare, but when it does happen it's always after rain. Had clear skies when I left for work, I assume it would be cloudy again now.
Hi BY, was mild overnight and I have spent the day out getting firewood on a mountain ridge at about 1100m in an area called Sunny Corner (between Bathurst n Lithgow). Was a lovely sunny day with pleasant easterly breeze. Temp up there about 9 or 10 but was warm cutting wood
After some early morning showers and fog/drizzle, it has cleared to quite a pleasant afternoon. Partly cloudy and a high of 19.2 deg's here today. Wouldn't be surprised to see similar to this morning overnight and tomorrow morning. Looks like some showers again pushing in from the NE, although they're still a while away.
After this weeks coastal showers I found my car dirty from the road grime. Thought I might give it a wash this arvo which was promptly followed by drizzle and light rain. #washingcarequalsraindance
Persistent drizzle here in Gosford, the sort that stops Cricket while yielding 0.4 mm. It was a mild and fairly sunny day in Sydney. As I headed North after 4:00PM the weather closed in and the drizzle started as I approached the Gosford turnoff. The car thermometer was showing 15-16 deg.
Few shwrs off the water down South real early this am, cleared mid morning to blue skies light winds. Perfect winters day in jeans thongs n T shirt.
It was cloudy in the Southern Highlands all morning with drizzle as I went through Robertson about 1pm. Was pleasantly surprised to get down to the coastal plain and have pretty sunny weather. It remained mostly sunny all afternoon and felt quite warm too. The weather differences between here and the Highlands can be quite stark sometimes, and in fact I wouldn't be surprised if it stayed cloudy up there this arvo I will be outdoors most of the night so I'm hoping the showers hold off. It appears at this stage that they will.
And, as predicted earlier this afternoon, the drizzly showers are heading in from the NE for a night of dampness.
Very mild today in Bywong @800masl. Building driveway down to light work pants and Tshirt. Can't wait for later this week and single digit maximum. Ground nice and moist, definitely not wet just perfect for digging.
Quite heavy strata drizzle here the past hour or so. Radar not reflecting The real rain rate. Looks as if an Incy wincy surface low has crossed the coast around Norah head.
I have had 17 mms now since rain started.Ellalong weathercam here.https://www.facebook.com/supercell1
It was foggy with patches of light rain and drizzle on the way back from Gosford. There seems to have been a bit of rain while I was indoors, with Gosford picking up about 6 mm between 6:00 and 11 PM. The rain and drizzle had cleared by the time I reached the end of the freeway but there were were still areas of fog. It was 12° on the F3, 13° at home.
Yep.. forget even looking at the radar for summer super drizzle. PS the showers did hold off but they appear to be moving over as drizzle on radar quite soon.
Yeah woke to the ferry foghorns Pretty thicc Was it forecast last night? Wasn't looking as not working. Those showers last night gave up some moisture...
Looks like it was forecasted via BoM. I saw the light winds but wasn't taking any note of dew points so it was a little surprising to me.
View of Sydney Harbour this morning. You normally see the Opera House on the right and the Harbour Bridge on the left, with the Circular Quay skyline in between. https://webcamsydney.com
