    It looks as though there is potential for some good snow to lowish levels thorugh parts of the South Island of NZ on or around May 17. A big high over Australia is pushing a cold stream of air into NZ and this looks as though it could combine with some good amounts of moisture. A NW system with cold in it would be fantastic I'll keep my fingers crossed for everyone...

    I had practically no luck spotting systems that did anything in NZ last year, everything that looked good just disappeared - hopefully this year will be better
