Its this sort of day
Is Belinda the cat of ECL's?
Now a full eye to the storm. Is it windy up in Woolongong. Not to bad in Merimbula Yet
Perhaps she is just rubbing her snow love on the alps - like a cat with two arseholes.
The low - eye seems stationary and not dropping further South. It would be great to see it move SW at 300 Km.
Northern beaches: sunny. Looking across to the city: dark. Gonna be a bumpy ferry ride in a few mins!
But Belinda the Cat is definitely a Special Storm
Sorry DZ no offence intended about the Cat.
Rainy and calm in candelo knew i should have gone up this morning
Tracking a little more southerly at the moment.
My pussie be a fat lazy male.
Eye off Nowra at mo.
Perisher...... So much snow!
Ohhh That's cruel dude
I observe that I'm likely to do one of my weather stories for news.com.au this afternoon and that I may take one or two of the pics in this thread with attribution to both pic taker and site if possible. Cheers all. Let it snow
cold & wet now in St Kilda East
Wish I could get a gig like that - qualified journo, professional writer...out of work...maybe I'll just pack the car and go skiing....
Go for it!
Maybe leave the bit about cats and arseholes out
Moderate snow for the last couple of hours here at Falls. Winds shocking though.
Temp in Canberra down from 9.3 to 7.3 in last 2 hours and rain is falling steadily again. More love yet, hasnt warmed during the middle of the day in the mountains either.
I deeply resent that. I have never ever written about cats. Um, except for this once http://www.news.com.au/sport/more-s...ed-of-greyhounds/story-fndukor0-1226982064559
Yeah yeah stay on topic
Back to back bluebird days in Hobart, perfect.
Look at that density ...... slab builder
Temp starting to drop again at Perisher - BOM.
I know it is not a Buller system but a couple of flakes would be nice.
Interesting stuff, it's quite different. Top of Karels was pretty harsh with mist and ice. In fact most of the usual aspects are not that great, it's lying quite deep in NW facing areas. But given its usually liquid powder from this direction, it's a huge win.
Watsons Creek, yeah.......
Still snowing in Perisher! Has not stopped since yesterday afternoon..
Not a bad result for a pineapple
It's a peach!
Perisher up to 65mm. That's a half metre of snow. Imo.
I can feel a illness coming on this Friday.
i observe weather gurus sure didn't call this one early . twas all doom & gloom late last week. i suppose its been that kind of weird snow systems season
Nowra had over 240mm since 7am yesterday and still thumping down
I'm thinking changing the Falls & Hotham demo days from last weekend to this weekend was a masterstroke. It's still looking like the goods down there.
Might need to demo some spoons Saturday
What day will you be at Hotham @DPS Driver ?
Pretty keen to give them a run or two
Photoshop out the stocks for kooks and it would be BEAUTIFUL.
Lets hope this one has been poisoned. Just like the rest of them!
If you are talking about my cat?
Cats are awesome, most humans are not...and cause way more damage everywhere.
I see the temp at Perisher mid has risen above 0...is this a correct reading with the top and the bottom still in the negatives?
How strong are the winds @ Perisher and Thredbo today ?
I feel during the day they are not as accurate. A lifty may have spilled his hot chocolate near it.
Sustained windy flurries at Buller now
Its nasty on the coast
Pretty windy at Blue Cow and Guthega, but not enough for wind hold
Just north west of Nowra, we had 147mm in our gauge at 7am. Still hammering down now. Bit soggy out there.
Baw Baw today was bang on zero... And heavy mizzle... Wet
Bugger all wind at Thredbo, though it's starting, snow has stopped in the village.
I don't think i was too far out ...my post from last week..
Most of NSW and Eastern Victoria will receive substantial rain, which is great for our farmers. Alpine areas significant falls of wet snow, best above about 1750m.IMO
